Question about Hamilton Beach BrewStation 47214 Coffee Maker

Tank leaks I love my brewstation and have had it for several years. Now after it shuts off and sits, the tank is leaking coffee all over the counter. Not from the dispenser, but from under the tank itself.

Tried to replace the little gasket in the tank, but can't get it on properly. Still leaking everywhere.

The tank leaks all over when we brew a pot of coffee. Is there a number to call for this issue?

HB just has poor design and no real thought behind the products. these things leak constantly. Unsanitary, unclean, unsafe and just plain ol' bad design concept considering the heating and cooling of the parts in the design.

Fix it? No. It is trash. Even after their offer.

mine does the same. I haven't found a solution

Mine leaks, too. I think I'll try to reach Hamilton Beach to see if they offer a replacement tank. It's a great coffee maker otherwise (before it started leaking), but obviously I can't continue to use a coffeemaker that leaks all over my counters and floors. Ridiculous!

We had the same problem. H.B. sent us a new tank at no charge. It's been about a year and I'm about to try to do it again.

Try Tightening the screws on the bottom. Will help for awhile.
We had to do that. I am on my third brew station.

there is a small rubber flap valve in the tank. if you carefully clean that on a regular basis your problem should end.

Contact customer service and have them send you a new gasket for the coffee tank. Doesn't cost much and adds a couple years or more to the life of your coffee maker.

Brewstation Leaks

Mine did the same thing, except I have the model #47665 because the model you have I had to replace twice. It would start/stop numerous times during brewing. Anyway, if yours leaks coffee the same as mine it's because the tiny plastic part holding the small rubber gasket that controls leaking (inside the tank under the screen) is most likely broken. Apparently it's a common problem. I called HB at 1-800-851-8900 and talked to customer support. They are sending me a whole new tank (cannot just fix the gasket) for the whopping price of $5.00 to cover shipping. That's right, $5.00 for shipping gets you a whole new tank. I love Hamilton Beach. They truly do stand behind their products. Again Hamilton Beach product support, 1-800-851-8900 good luck to ya........Katherine

Valve inside of tank is broken can i get a new one? hb 47214

Is it the "valve" that opens when you push the dispensing bar? If so, it's probable the same problem I had with my model 47655. Under the domed screen inside the holding tank is the valve that opens to dispense the coffee. Mine lost the gasket that prevents leaking. I called Hamilton Beach Product support and was told the gasket cannot be fixed or replaced. I would need a whole new tank. BUT WAIT!!! Believe it or not Hamilton Beach is sending me a whole new tank for the cost of shipping only. $5.00 bucks gets me a whole new tank. Just $5.00 BUCKS!!!!! Amazing. I love my Brew Station and I LOVE Hamilton Beach. They truly do stand behind their products. HAMILTON BEACH PRODUCT SUPPORT 1-800-851-8900 Good Luck to ya......Katherine

Leaks after coffe dispenses

I've found that the reason is usually because the "coffee tank filter screen" is sitting crooked in its placement and causes the valve to be propped open. But with boiling hot coffee in the tank, it's hard to fix. Sometimes we can tap it with a butter knife and it will sit back into place, and sometimes we've drained all the coffee into a pitcher, waited for the plastic parts to cool, repositioned the filter, and put the coffee back in and turned the pot back on. Depends on how far the valve is propped open and how quickly the coffee is coming out. Hope that helps! :)
