Yep, I used the 0000 password and got the PASS message and the key unlocked. Anything else I should do?

  • Betty Hicks
    Betty Hicks Apr 06, 2008

its unlocked showing camera and the card in place no lock. it snaps after 60 seconds but will not advance.

  • Betty Hicks
    Betty Hicks Apr 06, 2008

I understand the message is EUNR Record
like it is not reading to the digital card. PASS was completed. it shows the 0 as ready to take pictures, snaps, and then I get the error.. Again, like the error is in recording to the disc. It is loaded properly and I have reset the camera several times, taken the batteries out, etc.

    any ideas?

  • Betty Hicks
    Betty Hicks Apr 06, 2008

I tried this and reset everything.. The message is EUNR recd It continues to snap with movement but won't advance and just give me the error message.

    Any ideas?

Early1234. I did that and I appreciate the follow up, but it snaps like it is ready to go and then gives me the eunr recd message. never advancing. It will continue to SNAP with movement, then you get the error message. Event is still 0

I am using a SD 1G. It is high speed. Should I get another card?

  • Betty Hicks
    Betty Hicks Apr 06, 2008

Well, I bought a new 1G SD card and put it in and now it says Snap and doesn't SNAP and just sits there.. No flash, nothing. The icon for the camera is still in the lower left corner. It seems to be hanging. This was a BRAND NEW CAMERA.. What gives with this stuff.

Hi doodle

the password should be only 4 digits right? have you tried the default code "0000"?

here is a instructional manual in pdf form here

when you try to enter the password, you are given 3 chances to enter the correct password. after 3 chacnes, the cam will turn off. power must be turned n again to begin a new cycle to enter the correct pasword.

its in page 10 in the manual.

post back for any developments...

Press and release the Power switch.

The display will show four “dashes”,

then change to “HHHH” with a blinking key icon below it .

    This is

a prompt to enter your password, which can be changed in the setup menu.

The first time the camera is turned on, the password is the default, “0000”.

Press the Enter button four times to enter four zeros (if you previously

changed the password in the setup menu, use the UP/DOWN buttons to enter

your password digits, pressing ENTER after each one.), then press it again

to confirm-the display indicates “PASS” and the camera is ready to operate.

If the wrong password is entered, the display will flash “ERRO” and the

camera will not work or allow the password to be changed. After an incorrect

password is entered for the third time, the Sentry will automatically turn off.

Power must be turned on again before beginning a new password entry cycle

    3. If you are using the camera for the first time, you should set the date and

time so your photos will be “stamped” correctly. Briefly press the Menu button-

”DATE” will blink on the display. Press Enter to confirm you want to change

the date, then the first two digits will flash, prompting you to enter the month

(c). Use the Up/Down buttons to set the current month, then press Enter. Set

the day of the month the same way, and press Enter again. The display will

then change to let you set the year, with only the last two digits blinking (“20_

_”) (d). Again use the Up/Down buttons to change the year if necessary, press

enter, and set the time (“TIME” will flash, press enter and use Up/Down to set

the hour and minute. The time display uses the 24 hr standard, so 2:00 PM is

    indicated as “1400”, etc).

    4. After the date and time have been set, and Enter is pressed, “EVENT” will

flash on the display. Press Enter and the “camera” icons for still photos and

movie clips will both blink (e). Press Enter again, and only the still camera

icon will blink. Pressing the UP or DOWN buttons will now cycle between

the 2 photo mode choices: Still Photos or Video Clips. This allows you to

choose which type of file will be recorded every 30 seconds for as long as

motion and heat events are detected. Select the photo mode you prefer (keep in mind that movie clips

may be dark at night because the flash does not fire during movies) and press ENTER while that icon is

    blinking

if you have the chance to change the memory card, try to change the card, maybe the camera is having a hard time or taking to much time reading and writing to the card. try to use a high speed card.

  • earl norman llanera
earl norman llanera Apr 06, 2008

that only meansd that you camera cant write the image that its snapping athat why it hangs and looks like it does not continue. it hangs when it start to write the image onto the card.

  • earl norman llanera
earl norman llanera Apr 06, 2008

what card are you using ? you should be using SD card and not MMc card.

about the snapping, the way you say it, it will continue to snap again and again until it goes into an error?

  • earl norman llanera
earl norman llanera Apr 06, 2008

no, that card is enough. you dont need to get another card, but if you do have an extra card, you can try to put it in your camera to check and see if it will work...

about the snapping, did that camera ever fell? snapping like crazy only means that something inside the cameras mechanism is faulty...

    post back.

  • earl norman llanera
earl norman llanera Apr 06, 2008

have you ever tried to re format that 1Gb sdcard of yours? if you do have another card there, please do try it.

if with another card, the error is still there... that only means that we have taken out the possibility that the error may came from a card. thus, the error may be coming from the internet fault. hence the "snap"

  • earl norman llanera
earl norman llanera Apr 06, 2008

    well,

In normal operating mode, the display will only show the still photo or movie clip icon in the lower left corner, an SD card

icon on the lower right, and one or more digits that indicate how many photo or movie files have been stored on the card. To test

the camera operation, wave your hand in front of the lens and PIR (passive infrared/motion) detector, while looking at the LCD

display. Every time an “event” is detected, the display will indicate “Plr”, “EVNT”, “rECd” in turn, and the event is recorded

on the SD card as a new line in a text file, including the date and time of the event. As long as events are being detected, a new

still photo or movie clip (as set in the menu) will be recorded every 30 seconds, indicated on the display by “Plr”, “SnAP”, then

“SAVE”. Note: for movie clips, the display will stay on “SnAP” for the 15 sec duration of each movie.

Try first removing battery and putting it back in, to see if it reset the camera

EUNR does not appear in any error list related to your product. It can be a faulty memory card error.
In this case try starting the camera without memory card inside, eventually try out a different memory card if you have one.
If all the above does not fix the problem, you can go to a repair shop and have the firmware reinstalled, this should unlock your camera.

    Regards

The camera may be have more than a problem, probably the firmware need to be reinstalled. If it still under guaranty have it repaired or replaced.
Check also that now the problem is not just a drained battery, or a similar problem.
