I would like to know how many square feet a Model # BRCQ0421BD Serial # 990905429 Coleman Central Air Conditioning Unit will cover. The unit supply is 208-230V 1 PH 60 Hz 10.8 RLA 97 LRA.

The Old Rule of Thumb is 400 square feet per ton, but you really need to do a heat load calculation to be safe. A lot of windows on the west or south side of the house will really increase your load and you may need a lot larger unit. Insulation also changes your load so you may be able to cool a larger area. You may be able to get the Heat Load Calculation Form either online or from Johnstone supply. They are on the internet.

Ac fan will not run on high setting , manual or auto . when unit calls for high setting fan shuts down . Compressor continues to run and trips breaker in trailer . Someone thinks it may be the motor, but...

Most probably its weak motor. When the motor gets weak it trips/ stops on high setting. On high setting motor needs more power to run the fan.Try lubricate the motor .You may need a few drops of oil on the fan motor bearings. As they get older they get dry and gunked up. If you can see the bearings a few drops of oil may help. --------- Because the fan operates on medium and high, so loose wire or faulty fan switch is very rare to cause this problem.-------- As per the problem , it requires motor to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I had a Honeywell Oil Filled Radiator HZ 680....I discovered ti was leaking , so I immediately threw it away. However, it appears that the oil leaked onto my hardwood floors....and it seems it spread. I...

You can use a degreaser. The spell will not harm you, just so you know. These heaters are filled with oil that will not harm people from the fumes. Most likely what you are smelling is the part of the oil that burned on the element as it was leaking out. Now as for your floors, I am sorry to hear this but you can replace that portion or call a certified floor repair person that specializes in hard wood floors.
Hope this helps.

How to insert oil in outdoor of split type airconditioner

You shouldn't have to add oil. The little bit that leaks out with refrigerant isn't significant. I would be more concerned about the leak itself. Has it been located and fixed. If not it will no doubt leak out again. Also do you know how much refrigerant to put in the system? Have you vacuumed the air/moisture from the system etc. Is the system totally flat or is there still some refrigerant in it? Let me know so I can advise you correctly.

Oil Leak

This would indicate a leak somewhere in the condenser sheet coil. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you should call a service tech in to fix this problem.

sounds like you have a freon leak hence the smel of oil and fog the unit runs because it has a low pressure cut out to protect the compressor when the pressure builds up enought to close this switch the unit runs as thwe pressure drops the switch cut off you will need to have a leak test done on the Evaprator coil inside

Look for signs of oil and you will have found the leak. Compressors depend on the cool gas returning to help cool the inner motor. At 12 pounds to recharge and leak detectors that measure less than .5 Oz per year leak rate does not figure that the leak can't be found.
10% of the oil from the compressor circulates with the refrigerant. The gas leaking will dissipate but the oil at the leak point will still be evident.
