Malfunction when connected to my computer a message comes up saying "computer does not recognise the device. when i click on message another message comes up saying there is a malfunction. after a few days i tried again and it worked fine. then when the battery ran out i tried to charge it but the problem started all over again

Remove the usb drivers from the pc and then reboot and let windows reinstall the drivers, you can also try the usb ports on the back of the pc since they have more power.

click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow question mark?
right click to reinstall drivers
if you can see your usb drive but its not working
ports(com&lpt)right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem
check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems for a computer and its parts also
scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive + to expand right click you should see options update driver disable uninstall scan for hardware changes
select properties you should see options in the general tab to troubleshoot policies volumes driver and details under the driver tab you will have the options to check the driver details update driver rollback driver or uninstall

USB malfunctioned message

1)right click the my computer icon
2)click properties and then click hardware n go to device manager.
3)uninstall all usb ports and then scan for hardware changes
4)ur pc will detect your printer and ask for printer drivers
5)re load drivers and your pc will communicate with your printer
6)for reloding install the cd follow the instructions on the screen and click next
7)restart when the printer is loded.connect the wires and cords properly

Windows not recognised

Press and hold the lower volume button and plug it in to the computer simultaneously and keep holding the minus button until a box appears where the message of usb device malfunctioned and click on it. Then follow the instructions and it should be recognized.
