Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Whenever I try to get online with my Xbox 360, it says that my IP Address failed. Im connecting directly to a modem, & I turned my modem off & back on before connecting the new device, but it still continues to fail. Should I call the company that I have my service with and verify that I have a valid IP address?
I would Recommend that you should call the company to come out and see your modem. ( It's not your IP address) Go into your Xbox live setup now make every thing to 0 then try to connect it should work. If not call the company to come out and take a look. ( I would call geeksquad for this kind of thing). Now like I was saying it can't be your IP address. It's most likely it's failing is because it try's to get through the modem but it can't so I would read in your modems manual and see about setting up app. on it or about gaming.

You shouldnt have an amp, when you do this. Also, you arent supposed to plug the modem directly into the console. It is supposed to be plugged into a router, which is pluged into a computer. That was, you can configure it.
