I understand from sticking (jamming), first jamming in the cassette could be the switch on that side, try to clean or spray it by air cane, and could be the cassette rollers needs to be changed or cleaned.
The second jam is in the exit unit, just before the paper comes out, also there is a switch, try to blow that area in air two. But could be jamming in the fuser unit, so you have to determine where its exactly jamming but cleaning doesnot hurt.

SOURCE: CANON PC 20 COPIER

I think the plastic broke that held the spring, so you need to figure out where it broke and drill a new hole for the spring, and sounds like you need a new cartridge, GOOD LUCK!!!

Duplexer problem

There are several thing which may cause unexpected jams in the duplex tray...,
1. first thing to do is eliminate all other possibilities by removing the netCard/Net connection Parralel connection so the machine is Stand Alone. make sure there is paper in the feed cassette 2 ( paper Tray)
press the TICK to enter menu
scroll down to diagnostic- press TICK
scroll down to paper path test - press Tick
scroll down to Source and select tray 2
scroll down to Duplex And select YES
( if the duplex option is not visible here then there is a connection/seating problem with the duplex tray)
Scroll down to copies and select 10
scroll up to print test page and press tick
the machine should now start duplexing 10 pages,
if you get the same error ( 1 page enters then jams)
it could be a dirty/snapped paper entry sensor,( looks like a little plastic match stick that protrudes into the feed path of the paper)
use a can of pressurised air to Blast any dust away from this arm and the surrounding area being careful to follow the Paper sensor Arm back to the sensor and blasting this as well-
Duplexer tray are cheaper than an engineer call out, if the fix above fails , your cheapest option may be a replacement Duplexer tray, available from most HP office equipment Stores as well as Belmonte Business Equipment.

I have Minolta Copier CSPRO 4000; it has error Code: c0372 please help

The bottom paper draw and duplex section have each a plug you plug into the copier in the rear. you mite want to check them for loose connections or the connectors themselves the code is stating that copier can not talk with bottom draws or the duplex section which makes your second side on a single paper. Open close front door to reset and could reset the machine power it off disconnect bottom draws and duplexer then just use the copier that way.

When I do duplex printing in my hp 2300dn, the top and bottom margins in the even and odd numbered pages differ by 1 centimeter. How to get equal margins in all pages?

If would first make sure that you have the proper paper sizes set on on the printer and in your driver. I have not had this particular experince with any 2300's. The other possibility is that one of the sensors is sticking and reading the paper size wrong, however that would normally trigger an error.

Where is the duplexer cover

In an e-Studio 650 the duplexer is located under the fuser/transport belt tray inside the machine. If you open the front cover, turn the blue lever clockwise and pull that tray out you can then open the duplexer by pushing down on the blue tab that sticks out the bottom on the tray.

Hp LaserJet 4100 printer says its out of paper which is not the case, could someone assist me and figure what may be causes this problem? Thanks in Advance

Hi there,

Paper jams can occur in the following areas
1 Top cover and toner cartridge area
2 Optional envelope feeder
3 Input tray areas
4 Optional duplexer
5 Output areas (top and rear)
6 Fuser area

Solving repeated paper jams
* Check all the paper jam locations. A piece of paper might be stuck somewhere in the printer. Even a small torn piece of paper in the printer path can cause repeated jams.
* If using a duplexer, check all areas (including under the duplexer).
* Check that paper is correctly loaded in the trays, that all three adjustments have been made, and that the trays are not overfilled. Make sure paper is under the front and back tabs.
* Check that all trays and paper handling accessories are completely inserted into the printer. (If a tray is opened during a print job, this might cause a paper jam.)
* Check that all covers and doors are closed. (If a cover or door is opened during a print job, this might cause a paper jam.)
* Try printing to a different output bin.
* The sheets might be sticking together. Try bending the stack to separate each sheet. Do not fan the stack.
* If you are printing from tray 1, try reducing the size of the stack.
* If printing from the envelope feeder, make sure it is loaded correctly, pushing the bottom envelopes in slightly farther than the top envelopes.
* If you are printing small sizes, feed paper short edge first.
* Turn over the stack of paper in the tray. Also try rotating the paper 180°.
* Check the characteristics of the media you are using. Use only paper that meets HP specifications (see the online user guide for paper specifications). Try using different paper to see if the problem goes away. Do not use curled, deformed, damaged, or
irregular paper.
* Avoid using paper that has already been used in a printer or copier.
* Do not print on both sides of envelopes or transparencies.
* Print only on full sheets of labels and do not print on both sides of label sheets.
* Check that the power supplied to the printer is steady and meets printer specifications (see the online user guide for printer specifications).
* Clean the printer (see the online user guide procedures).

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Have a good day.

Duplex mode, paper retracted and DISAPPEARED!

For duplex the paper feeds into the bottom paper tray, you need to make sure that paper is not stuck in the bottom area.

How to use

Does the copier have a duplexer? Automatic 2-sided copying (duplexing) was an optional feature for the EP2030. If there is a drawer in the lower section of the copier labeled "duplex" then your unit has this feature.

To use it, simply select 1>2 (for single-sided originals) or 2>2 (for 2-sided originals) on the "Orig>Copy" section of the control panel (toward the left side).

If your copier is not equipped with a duplexer, the only way you can make 2-sided copies is to copy the first side and then load the copies back into the paper tray or the manual bypass on the right side of the unit.

Note the the copier copies on the bottom side of paper fed from the paper trays, and the top side of paper fed from the manual bypass.

You can download a .pdf file of an operator's manual for this copier from the Konica Minolta website.

It says the paper is jammed, but there's no paper in it!!

This is an awesome printer. Did you know it can duplex (print on both sides of the paper) automatically? The jam "could" be in the duplexer on the back or, the duplexer unit isn't locked into place.

Unplug the printer and open the rear door, check for visible paper jam, remove, close door.

There's also access to the feed mechanism from the bottom of the printer.

Unplug printer.

(1) Remove the Cassette. (paper tray on bottom of printer)

If the paper is loaded in the Auto Sheet Feeder (on back of printer), remove the paper from the Auto Sheet Feeder and close the Paper Support.
(2) Stand the machine with the left side down.
(3) Slowly pull the jammed paper out while pulling the green cover toward you.

Caution
Set the machine back to its original position immediately after removing the jammed paper.
(4) If any paper is sticking out of the Cassette, reload the paper in the Cassette.
Reload paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder, if necessary.
(5) Insert the Cassette into the machine.
(6) Press the OK button on the machine.

Some of these instructions were copied from the online/downloadable printer manual from Canon's web site: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/

NP 6030 paper jam

It may be this simple:

1- as silly as it may seem, are you sure the size  is correct, if it is a letter size paper and it says legal, it will jam. open the paper tray and make sure the guides are snug againgst the paper,

does it say letter (or legal) for the tray you are going to use, if they do not correspond then look behind the tray inside the machine, is there a paper jammed in the back?

Or not so easy

2-You are having a sensor problem, take a look at the duplex tray,

pull it out and look at the sensors ( black little levers that stick out) are there any pieces of paper, can you move them and they spring back into place?
