You NEED to REPLACE the black development unit with a BRAND NEW item......these things are chipped so it won't accept previously installed units. If the problem still exists try a new PCU (toner cartridge).

On the Ricoh cl 7200 there is an error code sc386. What is it?

sc386 = an error with the black developer. This could be caused by something in the DV unit itself, or the black toner. If you've just replaced either one of these recently, try reinstalling them and resetting the machine. Otherwise, the black development unit probably needs to be replaced.

My printer is telling me to 'replace the bk dev unit (type d) hel

Internal counters control this. Yes! There are 4 of these units: Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and also 2 drums (Black and colour) You can continue to use the machine. You will likely see a deterioration in quality before long. You will have to contact a Supply company to acquire the units, but you can replace them yourself. Here is a link to the manual if you don't have one:

Hope this helps.

Sc error 380 and fuser breakdown

Hi there you will need to replace the development motor but first try the following.

Entering the Service Mode
There are two ways to enter the service mode.
Method 1: Turn the machine on while pressing the “On Line” key and “Escape” key
together until the above message in the illustration appears on the display.
NOTE: If you switch the machine off, any jobs stored on the hard disk using the
sample print and protected print features will be deleted.
Check first with the user tools to see if there are any jobs stored with these
features
(Menu key - Sample Print, or Protected Print).
Method 2: Press the “Up/Down arrow” keys together for about 5 seconds, then
press the “Enter” key.
The above message shown in the illustration appears on the display.
NOTE: The machine automatically goes off line when you enter the service mode.

Using the up down arrows select Engine and enter by pressing enter or # key.

Using the up down arrows select mode 5 then enter using enter or # key then select 810 (SC reset) press enter then if you want to select 809 (SC Detection ON/OFF) Enter and select 1 to disable. Escape or return key all the way out and exit. Turn the machine off then on again and test if the same problem then replace the Dev unit if still having the problem then replacement of the motor likely. I can email you the complete service manual if you like.
