Coby support mp4 video well, you can convert your own videos to mp4 video, then import the video into windows media player, connect your coby player to computer, sync your coby with windows media player, the videos will be transferred to your coby player.

I just got my Coby Mp3, and i plugged the USB into my computer and the autoplay screen that is supposed to come on my computer, hasnt.

Does you computer detect a new device when you plugged the Coby MP3 player?
If Coby MP3 player has cd driver, better to install it to your pc. Some computer/laptop doesn't detect autoplay when new USB device plug-in

When I try to put a converted youtube video from MP4 to an AVI on this player it tells me its in an invalid format. I have 2 players one for music and one for videos. I can't remember how I did it last...

Make sure which formats the player supports. Avi is just the container and can have many formats . According to the specs the player supports wmv,avi and flv try converting the videos again but use a resolution of 220x176, it might help as the player would not have to scale the video down. I have also noticed that the transcend player MP860 had it's own converter software. Check if your friends have the MP860 or MP870 player and install the software off the cd and try converting the video files as the coby may support the same format.

My Coby MP-610 won't open coby media manager.

1. Did your unit comes with Coby Media Manager? THere are two versions of this unit, one comes with and one doesnt. You can usually tell, if your unit came with an Installation CD, then it doesnt use Coby Media Manager

2. To access CMM - Start > My Computer> Double click the removable disk drive that looks like a 'C' with a big red circle, follow prompts to open Coby Media Manager.

3. IF you somehow formatted or deleted it, you can download a new copy from here:

My mp3 will not syn and i lost the cd

That's because it didn't come with one - it was on the COBY Player. I did the same thing - looked all OVER for that CD!!! ;-)

I use music in the *.mp3 format at 128mbs

1. I put all movies (avi or wmv), music (MP3s), photos (160x128pixels - jpg) or audiobooks in it's own folder (on my computer) in a folder called "FOR COBY" Easier to restore later, when coby needs ro be reformatted or you change computers (drives)

2. If you've had to re-format the player (which is a great way to get all previous stuff off it), you can get the manager from here:

CobyMedia Manager fix for MP822 (Windows XP/2000/Vista)

Don't let it throw you that it says it's for the MP822 - it also works for the MP610

3. Install downloaded program. Open it.

4. Plug your TURNED OFF Coby Player into the USB port - it will show up in the "DEVICE" tab after the computer goes through it's "Found New Hardware" process

are you talking about the coby media manager? I dont think it comes with a cd, I got a coby mp725 and it and the program was installed from the mp3, when you plug it into the computer look for a little bubble on the bottom right of your computer saying the computer has found new hardware.

Can u put music on your coby mp3 player without downloading the cd

Here is how you tell.. Plug it into your computer and then click on my computer. If you see it listed in there or you see a new drive letter such as "E:, F:, G:, ect...." and it wasn't there before then click on it and if it opens look for a folder labeled music or something similar. you can just copy music from your computer to the music folder and you should have music on your mp3.. If nothing pops up chances are you will have to install.

Coby mp4 player mp-c79095

I didn't have a problem accessing the flash memory of my Coby mp4 until I upgraded to Media Player 11. Now it recognizes the coby for what it is, but I can't explore the flash memory like I used to. It used to recognize it as another drive, now it shows up as a portable media device. Do I have to go back to MP10 to get it back or is there another way?
