My philips gogear mp3 model sa5125/37 wont turn i charged it and left it charging i think and took it out didnt use it for a day then when i try to turn it on i hold the center button to turn it on nothing happens. I put it into the computer to charge it says windows cannot recognize device because it has malfunctioned. Id appreciate a recovery method that DOES NOT involve erasing all songs. thank you

This is my second Philips GoGear. The first one had the same problem and I was sent this one. It will only turn on if the MP3 is charging.

Screen jammed on and would not respond on any button. I pressed reset and then plugged in to the computer but have nothing on screen and wont respond after 2 hours.

WARNING: this process will erase all songs off the GoGear.
Disconnect the GoGear from computer.
Turn the GoGear off.
Hold in the volume + button.
Reconnect the GoGear while holding in the volume + button.
Continue holding the volume + button.
After 5-50 seconds, Windows will pop-up a "Found New Hardware Wizard." - complete the wizard (BTW, you can take your hand ff the volume + button now).
Good To Go (Gear)!

Wont charge

Have you tried to reset? The reset button is right by the lock switch. It's small so use a pin or something small like that.

Phillips mp3 player

Download the updated version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website - only the updated version will enable you to get the correct firmware upgrade that will resolve your issue. Once you have downloaded the new Philips Device Manager, open it with your mp3 player connected to the computer, and click the Update tab - it will update the firmware on the player, resolving your issue.

My philips gogear sa3025/37 wont work

The SA3025 is not compatible with Macintosh. It will show up as "Internal" or some such, but you won't be able to load the songs into there properly. That is why the documentation says:
