I have the same problem. I registered the phone, as described in page 40 in the manual, and indeed got registered, but it looses again the connection.

If you have another solution, please advice.

Re-Register!

That's right.

Wait, don't look for any product registration card you think you still have. You probably threw that away with the packaging the first day you opened it.

On the Handset:
Know which handset you have (#1 or #2)
Menu --> Initial Setting --> Registration
The Handset will say follow the instruction on the manual which you don't have.

Now, go to the base unit:
Press and Hold the Handset # button (#1 or #2), until you see the display on the base unit changes.
You can release the # button now.
Press <select> button on the handset.
Wait until you hear beep.
You're done!

This may be posted already. I posted before signing in.

Look for the charge light on the main base - not the auxilliary ones. We had the same problem and tried every available solution. I finally figured out that the base wasn't getting power as the charge light wasn't on. When I tested the outlet, the breaker had tripped. In the house we are staying at we had to reset it by pressing the reset button in the middle of another GFI outlet close to the phone.

Problem solved.

I had the same problem and had to re-register the hand sets. For some reason it took about 3 times to successfully complete the re-registration. PLEASE KEEP TRYING as I did, it will work. Go to page 38 of the manual and carefully read everything under (Re-registering the handset.) If you have to, go to google, find the manual and print page 38. One site I went to had a PDF file you can print.

Hope you all have the same success I had.

"You can do it"

My panasonic kx-tg4321bx didn't give connectivity response rather than it gives a message "No link to base. Move closer to base, try again"

Well, you could move closer to the base, or try this: RE REGISTER the HANDSET. That works every time when our cordless goes stupid.

Phone displays a message saying no link to base when it is closer to the base?

Hi,

Following may be the cause for getting no link to the base.

1. The handset has lost communication with the base unit.Move closer to the base unit, and try again.

2. Confirm that the base unit’s AC adaptor is plugged in.

3. Raise the base unit antenna.

4The handset’s registration may have been cancelled .Re-register the handset.

To Register, follow the below steps.

Headset: Press MENU and then press ‘0’ ‘0’

Base unit: Press and hold HANDSET LOCATOR until the CHARGE indicator flashes.

(After the CHARGE indicator starts flashing, the rest of the procedure
must be completed within 1 minute.)

Handset: Press OK, and then wait until the handset beeps.

Your handset is registered to Base unit.

Thank You

Can not rec a dial tone, phone states no link to base move closer

If “No link to base. Move closer to base, try again.” is displayed
even when using the handset near the base unit, the handset may have lost communication with the base unit. You need to re-register the handset to the base unit.
• Make sure the base unit is not being used.
• Have both handsets and base unit nearby during registration.
• Follow steps 1–3 listed below. You have about 1 minute to complete them.
• Confirm the extension number of the handset which has lost the communication by placing the handset on the base unit or charger.
If you re-register the handset using the other handset’s extension number, the other handset will not function.
• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.

1 Base unit: Press and hold [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] until a beep sounds.
• The CHARGE indicator flashes.

2 Base unit: Press the extension number [1] (handset symbol 1 ) or [2] (handset symbol 2) of the
handset which has lost the communication.

3 Handset: Press and hold [FLASH/CALL WAIT] until “Handset Registering” is displayed.
• When registration is complete, a beep sounds from the handset and the display shows the number.
• Wait for 20 seconds after registration is complete while the handset establishes communication with the base unit.

• If the handset beeps 3 times and “Error!!” is displayed, an error occurred. Try again from step 1.
• You can stop registration by pressing [OFF] on the handset, and pressing [LOCATOR/INTERCOM] on the base unit.

ModelKX-TG6051BSAYS NO LINK TO BASE MOVE CLOSER TO BASE, duh,i have it sitting on base all day, when go to make call it says no link to base.why? I did unplug roommates thought would work. But now cant even...

Your handset has somehow lost its ability to see your base. Try re-registering it to your base. To do so, at the handset push MENU 001 . Then at the base, push and hold down the INTERCOM/LOCATOR button down until the IN USE light begins flashing. Then at the handset push OK, and within a few seconds it should beep and be registered. If first not successful try again. If it still does not work, try de-registering the handset, then repeat the registration procedures I described above. Here is a link to the manual that describes these procedures, look on page 39. http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Operating-Instructions/details-KX-TG6051M

No link to base move closer to base

Your getting this message because the radio portion of the handset or/and base is not communicating with each other. This can be temporary or fatal. You can try re-registering the handset(s) to the base by following the directions in the manual, its fairly easy to do for any model. If that does not work, and you have more than one handset not working with this problem, then it sounds as if your base needs repair or replacing.
