Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Connect the monitor to a different computer (laptop or desktop), to see if the problem "follows" the monitor.

Connect a different monitor to your computer, to see if the video-card in your computer is generating the "wavy" display.

Move any "power-bars" and PC Speakers *FAR* away from the monitor, to eliminate electrical interference.

I had to reinstall windows xp and now when i scroll up or down my screen is doing this rippling thing

That is because you haven't reinstalled your Video Driver, and the screen refresh rate is slower than normal.
A simple video driver install will cure that.

There is a rippling on the screen that goes downward and then it goes all white

I have a Acer 17" LCD model: AL1717Ab that had horizontal white lines an inch wide that scrolled downward.
The power board had two bad/bulged caps: 25v 220uf 105c Capxon. Replacing them fixed the problem.
I hear that caps can fail without being bulged. I use a standard type small sewing machine screwdriver
ground & tapered to clean the circut board holes by heating the empty hole with a 25 watt soldering irong
and then shove & twist the awl into the hot hole, which reopens the hole. So no solder ****** is required.
I hope this helps someone somehow. Sincerely Bitdog

Subtle rippling lines when playing HD

your convergence ICs may be getting weak as they last about 4 years give or take depending on how often the set is ov. The subtle lines may just be a faulty cable or a bad solder joint on the ground of your input board.
