Question about Brother HL-2040 Laser Printer

Won't Print But Ready Light On Fan nonstop

This is on multiple xp pro and xp home computers.

I told my friend how to reset toner process over the phone. I think he might have done it wrong. I've tried the reset all process also.
-What happens is the printer turns on and the ready light flashes a bit then stays on forever instead of flashes while the fan doesnt turn off anymore.
-not able to print
-computer detects if usb is unplugged or plugged in but cannot print.
- when toner access slot is open and then turned on the paper light flashes.
- if go button is held while turned on then let go no lights display.

F the Drum LED is still lit after replacing the drum unit, the Drum counter may not be reset.
Reset the Drum counter as follows:

  1. Open the front cover.
  2. Locate the control panel button under the LED lights on the left side.
  3. Press the control panel button until all lights are lit, then release it.
The Drum counter is now reset.

HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw stuck in calibration mode, won't print

there's a few reasons why your printer is doing this - I would recommend the following action:
1 disconnect the printer from your PC ( USB/Net)
2 power off the printer
3 open the top/ front and pull out the process section( where you put your toners)
4 individually remove and then reseat these toner cartridges
close the covers back up and power on ( still disconnected from the PC)
5 allow the printer to come to ready ( if it wont come to ready there may be a problem with one or more of the toner cartridges)
6 print an internal testpage ( press menu , select information, select configuration, select print)
7 whent his prints you know your printer is going to be ok, On your PC-clear ALL the print queue- reconnect to printer and test!

Hi I have just reconnected my Konica Minolta Page Pro 1400 and installed the new cartridge - when I switch it on I can hear it start running and then it stops and the fan keeps going but the error light is...

In the user guide, a blinking error and ready light may indicate a communication failure and to make sure the printer cable is seated properly. Otherwise a blinking error light only indicates a media jam or no toner cartridge installed. For the media issue, make sure no paper is caught anywhere inside the printer. If the toner is the problem, try another cartridge. One of those should solve your problem.

(blinking every 5 seconds) Toner Low Indicates that the toner cartridge is nearly empty. Purchase a new toner and have it ready for when Toner Empty is indicated. (solid) Toner Empty Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.
