How do i find info on duplex printing on a canon pixma 4500

This model Canon printer does not have a duplex unit and cannot print double sided printing automatically.
DOUBLY SIDED PRINTING WITHOUT A DUPLEX UNIT
Open your Word document.
Open page 1 - then Print the current page.
Then put the printed page 1 back in the paper tray upside down.Open page 2 and Print the current page (page 2 will be printedon the other side of the page 1).
Repeat this procedure for the other pages.

Hello,

It seems to me like you have a gap issue but I was wondering if you might be able to call in and talk with my technical support team. They have 10+ years experience on Printek Printers and we are an ASR for Printek. We carry new and used parts for all Printek printers.

Technical support is free and can save people a lot of money.

Please give me a call and ask for Rory, I will then transfer you over to technical support.

Thanks,

Mp: bad gap home

Bad GAP HOME is a problem with the sensor (switch) that senses the automatically set printhead gap. Usually the wires break from flexing that run to the switch. Could be a bad switch also, or others.

You need to test the switch and wires with a meter.
