Question about Vizio L37 Television
Our 37" TV; in the past couple of months has decided just turn off. It can be turned back on but may go right back off immediately or several minutes or hours.
It sounds like the main power supply board. If you can hear the relay click but no other response from the TV, it would be a good bet to start there.
I just replied to a similar problem on the same model TV. If the relay contacts are no good or if there is poor soldering on the main board, you'll get this symptom. Although a bad set of relay contacts aren't out of the question, I think it's more likely that there are cold solder joints on the board. If this is a relatively new TV and used to work fine, the thermal cycling when the TV was operating might have been enough to cause intermittent contact with the solder joints. If you're up to it, consider resoldering the main board especially near the relay section. Let me know what happens. Please rate accordingly.
