Hello Chantalallie
Is the laptop able to connect to the Internet wirelessly over other networks? (say at a coffee shop or Internet cafe, etc.)
(We want to pin down whether or not the issue is w/ your laptop or w/ the router.)
If the laptop is not functioning wirelessly at all now, make sure that the wireless radio button on your laptop has not been inadvertently placed in the OFF position. Where that button is located varies w/ ea. laptop. If you're not familiar w/ where it is, look closely along the sides and front of your laptop and above the keyboard (below the monitor).
Still on the assumption that your laptop's wireless radio is not working:
(A) Click on START
(B) Click on NETWORK CONNECTIONS
You should see a connection called "Wireless" or something similar.
(C) Check to see if that connection is DISABLED.
(D) If it is, right click on it and choose ENABLE
OK, now we'll await your answers before proceeding as doing so now would necessitate making assumptions regarding your equipment, operating system, etc. that may not be correct.
Thank you,
BJ
