Mapping errors relative to speed

I find that at walking speed the GPS location is very accurate. However when I am traveling at 70mph the error is quite significant placing me on the map as much as 500meters behind my actual location. This is much more pronounced than on my previous PDA (mio p350).

Any ideas why this is so and is there anything I can do to improve this?
