Sounds like an old psp, does it pop other games out?
if no, then it is a game problem, if yes, clean the lazers that read the umd.

Final Fantasy 11 Online (360) - Unreadable Disc

Sfabian answered the solution: If you are having trouble with your online disc and it is saying disc is unreadable, just follow theses directions:

Step 1: Put the disc on the disc tray, but do not close the disc tray.

Step 2: Connect a mp3 player, or a cell phone through a usb cord and listen to the music.

Step 3: close the tray but let the music play and then the game will load and don't reinstall anything, just select the first option.

This solution was fixed on final fantasy XI ultimate colletion.

Psp freezes up during certain games

bet you are playing on a slim, turn of the umd cache in system settings then the problem stops perhaps the game (driver 76) doesnt support the umd cache system using the extra ram in the psp slim
well it worked for me anyway

PSP problem

If you play UMD games, it's likely that you have a hardware problem with your UMD reader, I would suggest you go for a replacement if it's under warranty.

By any chance you are out of warranty, refer to this site below for some diy job to repair it, i won't responsible for any damages caused.
