Model. numbers describe the unit best an 18 in the model is for 1 1/2 ton,24=2 ton, 30 =21/2 ton 36=3ton etc

No oversizing the condenser will not work well, however oversizing the evaporator coil by 1/2 a ton actually increases the units efficiency and is recommended to do by most utilities on units they finance.

it is a 3 ton condensor you still can buy r22 freon condensors new but they have nitrogen charge and its expensive to charge I recommend to go with 3 ton goodman condensor which is new 410a puron and also change indoor coil and flush the line set so you dont endure the high cost of new copper lines these new systems come with 10 years warranty and the r22 systems come with only five years

It is a 3 ton, 10 seer unit. Size is basically good for 1200 sq. ft. Hope this helps!

It looks like you have a 60,000 BTU unit or a 5 ton unit...12,000 BTU/ton is how you figure that...
The 60 in the model number indicates the nominal btu's of the unit... the exact output could be a bit more or less depending on the air handler...
