If you don't have the driver of your laptop or you lost it then you have to download driver from website. Visit http://support.gateway.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1 select your laptop model and series and download the driver for your Operating system.

you need a small screwdriver and be carefull to take out the clips and you replace the keyboard of the same model and brand ok
