It is a convergence problem.
FEW TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS YOU CAN TRY:
1)Do a hard reset by unplugign all the cords of the TV and then plug it back after 4 hours.
2)Check the line cord. Wiggle both ends near the molded part.
TWO: Make sure you have power in the outlet by plugging a lamp into the same exact outlet.
3)Do a hard reset; merely unplug the line cord but leave it unplugged for 4 hours before powering up again.
The whacking test is to just bang or smack the set with your hand on the back, side, top, etc., to see if there are loose connections or cold solder joints inside that are acting up. If so, the banging should knock them back to normal and the set should restore. You might have to use some creative banging and some have had to put a book or magazine under one corner to torque the chassis enough to get it to work reliably.
If this does not solve your problem then the only solution to fix your the problem is to get it repaired by a technician
