first remove the two screws on the back top of fan... then remove little cover on third screw which is located on the bottom of the outer casing.. i used a fork to poke the hole for leverage then pull it out... take out the three screws on the bottom (that hold the stand part of the fan).. now you can start removing the casing.. start to pull apart.. carefully... once you have opened one part you can use a flathead or a butter knife to pry open where there are clips on the sides.. the final clip is under the handle poke that one and your fan should be opened....
I used a can of compressed air to clean my fan blades and this did the job. I bought a 6-pack of 3M Dust Remover at Sams Club to save money. Hope this helps.
