I have a Logitech 5

I have a Logitech 5 speaker system plus sub woofer from a previous pc. I connected it to the appropriate jack on the back of my new pc but sound only comes out of my monitor. i went into control panel and it seems to be set up for the surround sound. Not sure what to do.
