Question about Fellowes P700-2 Shredder

How do I reassemble On/Off switch?

I had a bad jam in the blades. I took apart cleared jam OK. My problem is the on/off switch came apart from the interior of the lid. Now I have two very tiny clips shaped like a W or M that are integral to the switch but I dont know how they go back together. I blamed the dog for bumping the table I was working on. Any ideas?

The actual switch will not fall apart. There is a black part that is integral with the switch itself. This is about 1/4" to 3/8" wide, and can only be seen from inside the unit. Then there is a plastic piece that is part of the top shell. The hole in the plastic piece has to fit over the black part of the switch, so when the plastic piece is moved, the switch on the inside of the unit will move with it. SO, center both parts, and put them together. If you actually took the switch itself apart, you would have needed a soldering iron, and there would be no purpose for doing this.

OK I HOPE THIS WORKS I HAVE A T-13560 GUESSING THEY'RE CLOSE, I HAD TO PULL OFF THE TOP COVERS SHAPED LIKE A "V" WITH ONE NUT HOLDING IT ON ,FIRST REMOVE THE CENTER BLADE BOLT UNDERNEATH ...THEN YOU'LL SEE THEIRS 4 1/4-20 HOLDING THE BLADE DRIVE ON BUT FOR ME I ACTUALLY TOOK THE FOUR BOLTS OUT HOLDING THE ENGINE MOUNT OUT IE. THE CENTER OF THE DECK TO EXPOSE THE TOP OF THE CENTER PULLEY (MY BAD ONE) AT WHICH POINT I COULD TAKE AN IMPACT WRENCH TO REMOVE THE PULLEY NUT ...THEN UNDERNEATH REMOVE THE BLADE MOUNT ....MY BOTTOM BEARING FELL APART SO I COULD PUT THE SHAFT IN A VISE , HEAT IT UP AND TURN IT COUNTER CLOCKWISE ...THEN REASSEMBLE GOOD LUCK

I used the clippers to cut my dog... once finished I took it apart to clean out excess lubed parts and reassembled...I have done this many times before with no problems... I begin cutting and the blades...

Check your blade latch is working properly. If you took your clipper apart and your blades are not cutting it is one of 2 things. Your blade drive is not assembled properly or your blade latch is not holding the blade on the clipper. If you took your blade apart, check the blade alignment. The cutter blade needs to be slightly behind the comb blade.

I cleared the jam and took it apart to make sure but it still says clear original jam. could the sensor be bad or dirty? if so where is it?

It definitely could be the sensor. The Paper sensor flag may be broken or not activating the switch. Or the switch itself maybe bad. You can physically test the Paper sensor flag
by moving it and listening for the click sound when it activates the switch. And You can ohm out the switch to see if it working. Look at the paper in the tray, to find the switch follow a line about 3 inches from the right edge of the paper. It is to the side of the roller/gear on the right side.

try saturating left over paper with shredder oil and let sit for 4-5 hours or more this should soften paper enough to remove easier although it may be a little messy

The auto switch is stuck. Feed more paper in it to clear it, and kick once for me. The shredder has a paper jam. You can try 3 or more sheets at one time to clear it. Also try 'paper shred oil'. You can buy it at Office Depot or Office Max.
