hi, I have the same model Chris Palmer used in his
tutorial, http://cmpalmer.blogspot.com/2006/11/fixing-my-own-tv-part-ii.html, and my chips are on the way! I have begun to prep for the
installation but the jumpers I need to remove to flip the board 90
degrees to access the bottom of the board are terribly stuck, I've carefully attempted to pull them out
with some force, the plastic plugs corners were imprinted in my finger
tips for a few minutes to give you an idea of how much pressure I
applied. I know I can switch the chips but I first need to get the
jumper off! I was hoping you had a trick or two you learned from your
experience that could help me.
I take a flat tip screwdriver and place it under one side of the plug tab. lift it up and one side will pop loose, then the other side of the plug is easy. It always feels like I am breaking them but knock on wood, I haven't yet.
