I think im having the same problem and wish i knew how to fix the screen size issue. I've tried the format button but thats not the problem for me. The problem for me is that the screen image when i watch movies is a little zoomed in, it sometimes cuts some the credits in the beginning of the movie. it doesn't show the full aspect ratio.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the same problem, tried the Format button, it doesn't help. The picture is too big for the screen and needs to be adjusted.

I have the same problem. I am in Standard fornat and a little bit of the top and bottom are cutoff on some HD channels and when I use my PS3. There is no "adjust screen size" option anywhere I can find in the menu,

I cannot see football stats on bottom of screen. mitsubishi wd-62627 setting is hdmi 1080i standard. help!

either your TV or your cable/sat box(if any) is on zoom(enlarging pix). Look for buttons on both remotes that might say picture size or aspect something like that...Pressing these buttons usually cycle thru 3 or 4 size options. When in zoom center of screen is the focus and outer edges of pic are cut off.

I have only partial picture. top of screen cut off.

check the aspect or ratio settings
there is a button on the remote called aspect, ration, pic size, or something simmilar you need to push.
if you have satelite tv, it can also be the format button on that remote

Expanded screen

If it only does it via the coax or cable fitting it may not be the set.

Does it do the same thing when playing a DVD etc?

If problem is on all inputs it is a deflection problem in the set which for whatever reason has over scanned the picture to tall---it suggests a problem in the Vertical deflection circuit of the set (top to bottom is vertical deflection).

My TV picture cuts off on the top and bottom

Check what format you are in. 4:3 is like a regular tv. Sides will be cut off in this format on a widescreen tv. 16:9 zoomed will cut of top & bottom slightly. You want just regular 16:9. No zoom.

you might have bad caps or the vertical output integrated circuit, try to locate the vertical ic and check the surrounding areas for bad capacitors.

Cant see all of screen

You should have a button or setting on the remote that says "picture size" or "aspect". One of those is set too "zoom" mode which will cut off the bottom and top of the frames. You want it to be in 16:9,Normal or Full mode (or whatever your set call it) to get the correct aspect. Or if you have a HD satellite rcvr. you might of placed it in the zoom mode as well.
