  • There are a few steps which we can try:
  • Boot into safemode by pressing the F8 key the moment you turn on the computer you will get a lot of options select safemode let the computer boot up and then do a system restore.(start-all programs- accesories-system tools-system restore) while doing system restore select a date when your system was working fine.
  • If this doesnt works then you may need a recovery disc to repair or reinstall the operating system.

Yes this is a blue screen if i am correct.

It seems some recently installed hardware is making your computer error. Please disconnect ANY new installed or connected hardware and try.

If this fails its possible your computer has a virus, In which case you will need to re-install the operating system for it to run normally again.

you have a hardware error.. the message is your processor indicating some hardware component went booboo on you!
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/162363

the cause could come from any major component (motherboard, memory, processor, bus, other hardware)

this article should ilustrate more on possible causes and possible solutions:

Beginning dump of physical memory

Try removing that newly added memory and see if it solves the problem. Might be faulty or incompatible.

Beginning dump of physical memory

This could be pretty complex. The ATAPI.SYS file controls the Hard Drive and CD-Rom Drive. I would recommend reading this MS TechNet article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822051/ The article says that it's not uncommon for the problem to be caused by faulty memory or by problems in the mass storage controller subsystem, which makes sense since atapi.sys (a mass storage controller system file) is noted.
If you have multiple memory cards in the machine, it might not be a bad idea to take one out and try again. If the fails, keep swapping out memory cards until we either solve the problem, or elimite that as a cause.

Dump of Physical Memory

Put the Dell CD in the drive bay. Turn on the computer and start pressing <F12> key. It should say "Preparing one-tome boot" When the screen shows a selection menu for the boot device, use the arrow keys to select the CD and press <Enter> key. That should run the Dell CD. Follow the onscreen prompts to run diagnostics checks
