Question about GPX DV-1010 DVD Player

Open Question

GPX DVD HI, The DVD is stuck on stop. The only thing that works on it is the little green light. It is only a few months old (Bought it last Dec.) no problems till now. The remote has no effect on it and manually nothing happens. It reads B1 Stop in the little blue rectangle in the upper left hand corner. Thanks, Blaze Compton

SOURCE: Flashing Battery Symbol on GPX PDL805

The appearance of a battery symbol while you are using just the battery means that you are using just the battery.

That's it.

No Problem.

The flashing battery symbol is a constant reminder to you that a power intensive function is only supported by the battery, and that you should make external power available so as to complete the task without losing power in a battery drain event.

that a manufactures problem, if you have a guarantee go back to the store and return it, because it looks like an electric issue.

Standby light is blinking red will not open dvd or play at all

in a situation like this, there are only a few things you can do.

unplug the unit and wait for an hour or 2, and plug it back up and see what happens. if the unit is making any unusual noises (listen carefuly to it) then it will more than likely need to be repaired.

depending on the price, you might just consider going and picking up a cheap dvd player from wal-mart or something.

Hi this is amanda i get a gpz PDL805. When I put a dvd in the player it loads for a while and than its stop and said to check disc, when i did. and its says the same thing i know it was working a week ago...

have you tried other dvds and cds?
If they work, the dvd you are trying to load is either scratched or dirty. Clean using a cotton, lint free cloth (no circular motion).

If they dont work, your lens is dirty. Use a lens cleaner CD.
put it in the dvd player and let it run until it stops by itself.
this should clean the lens.

Portable DVD player- screen problem

cheap product and cheap material, have you tried another video??

most players dont last more then a few month of hard core playing like every day for 4 hours since youve bought it.

im sure its burned out. laser eyes can go bad or even the invertor since there is no real way the dvd player can be cooled.

so im sure its burned itself out

Tv cuts off and green light flashes

If your set was manufactured around July 2005, you may need a firmware upgrade to solve this issue. On the Sony website you can enter your model # and serial # to see if you TV is affected. If so, it is easy to have done and may be free from Sony. It sounds like the issue they described in the writeup on the required formware update. I had mine done within few months of when i bought it (purchased in Dec 2005) and it has been working flawlessly since.

Good luck!

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Hi--Bought my panasonic pt-52lcx65 on sale for $2200 in 8/05. Replaced the lamp for about $300 in 1/08, just prior to Superbowl. Admittedly, this was to be expected after family members watched lots of tv over 30 months. However, two months later the blue spot emerged in 3/08, and red spot emerged 5/08. Set looks decorated by a Andy Warhol or Van Gogh wannabe. I'm looking for a fix it solution. Dr. Bob Heiliger, Lebanon, OH.
