KD-G385 doesn't seem to be the right model Try this: Press and hold SEL button until menu appears Using the scan buttons (FWD/REV), select DEMO Using the volume know, set it to OFF Press SEL to save and exit
The JVC KD-SC500 ships with the color selection set to "ALL DEMO" which alternates the colors approximately every 6 seconds.
To cancel the "ALL DEMO" and select a single color display, go into PSM mode by pressing and holding the SEL Button until the display changes. Use the left/right rocker until COLOR is displayed. Turn the VOLUME knob to select the color you want: Blue, Ocean, Purple, Pink, Rose, or Red. Press the SEL button again to exit PSM mode.
Below is the step-by-step procedure for setting the JVC clock. Please note that after you have entered the PSM mode, if you have not pressed a button for about 2 seconds, the radio will automatically exit the mode and return to normal operating mode. In that case, you must restart PSM by holding the "SEL" button until the display changes.
(1). Enter the PSM mode by pressing and holding the
SEL button until the display changes.
(2). Use the rocker switch left/right until "CLOCK
H" is displayed.
(3) Set the clock hours by turning the volume
(4) Press the rocker switch again until "CLOCK M"
(5) Set the clock minutes by turning the volume
(6) Press the SEL button to finish and EXIT.
it wasnt the display model it was just a demo mode for the unit press the button below the volume knob for about 5 sec and it will bring up a submenu for everything on the unit including DEMO MODE just turn that off and u can play with all the other fun stuff in there
