Question about Alcatel Speed Touch Home Modem
I have a Alcatel Speed Touch Home modem connected to a NETGEAR Mr814 V3 router hard-wired to my computer. Lately when I turn on my computer my modem shows only two solid green lights and I am unable to access the internet. Resetting by turning off the modem, unplugging the router, turning on the modem and plugging in the router solves the problem. Do I need a new modem, router, or just continue the annoying resetting procedure? I really shouldn't complain since my modem has been trouble free for many years.

Delete your broadband connections in start ->control panel -> network connections
it is currently set as your default connection type. Remove it and if you set up the D - Link correctly, you'll go right online.
