Does the oven respond to any controls??? or is it dead??? if it responds, id try to restart a clean cycle, this will attempt to lock the door if it does, then in a few seconds cancel the cycle and the door should unlock. or you can can try to disconnect the power to the unit for a few min and upon restoring power the first thing most ranges do is to self check there latches.

It will unlock once the temperature drops. This is a safety feature.

Mcclary stove

One thermostat (sometimes at the back of the stove) is open/blown or the door locking assembly has failed. To open the door you may remove the back of the stove; take the door locking assembly apart to release the long wire that hooks the door close.
On some models you can see the locking the latching mechanism through a **** in the top front and can play with the mechanisms there to release the door.
Then you can begin to figure why the door latched in the first place.

I did not follow directions on self-cleaning and now stove is loc

Since the door is open and the lock is engaged, you will need to hold the "door closed" switch in located in the top left door opening. Push and hold the switch in, push the clean button, set the time at 3:00 hours, keep holding the switch in for 20 seconds, then push cancel button. The motorized locking mechanism should disengage. Then, you can release the switch. Hope this helps.

Oven door locked and stove wont work turned the oven on to self clean and it just blew cold air.It did not clean and now the door will not open Please help.

I woke up one morning recently with the oven door on "locked." The stove works, but the oven door will not open. As far as I know, nothing in the oven works. The "door" sign shows up on the window where the clock is.

Oven Door is locked and will not open

On many freestanding stoves the lock motor is located in the right rear (looking from the front) with a long rod connected to the lock. Pull or push the rod to move the lock to the open position..

Frigidaire stove door locked

I've had a similar problem - door is locked. If the door is open - locate the light switch and hold it in for a few seconds. Sometimes it makes a noise and resets the lock. Otherwise, push the Clean button and the Cancel button on front of oven simultaneously and hold for about 30 seconds. The ?locked? light should disappear. If it is working, you?ll hear a mechanical hum as it resets.
