I have a proyron 32

Shadow on screen that seems to be unchanged or permanent is typically called "bruising". Usually caused by hitting the lcd screen too hard with a object..or press to hard with your fingers. The only fix for it is replacing the LCD screen. If the screen just seems "dimmer" then this could be caused by a bad inverter board or blacklight. It's the LCD it's usually not cost effective to replace.. and new monitor should be purchased.. if it's the inverter board or backlight it may be worth fixing.

Letters blurr in spots and black boxes leave a shadow on the screen

LCD Monitor Shadow Effect
This problem is best described as the LCD monitor "Shadow Effect".
The solution to this very simple. No software or hard ware changes required.
The cables that are connected to the LCD monitors are causing the problem. Its also called as electromagnetic noise or electrical noise.
Solution: Keep the two cables - (power cable and moitor display cable), that are connected to the LCD monitor as far away as possible with each other and also away from other electrical cables.
Thats it. Your shadow effect is fixed.
Thank you.

SONY PROJECTION TV MODEL # KP-51WS510.

If the entire screen is curved, and it is not taking the whole screen, then you have a vertical deflection problem.

If the colors are double and do not match, with lines of different colors around pictures , then you have a convergence problem, often caused by a faulty convergence board.

The curving effect can be a side effect of bad convergence, or you may have both problems at once.

Unless you are a TV repairer yourself, better calling technical support. Usually you can ring the number listed on the owner manual.

Tv screen is squeezed only straightens out if i bump the top of tv

This is likely your convergence IC solder connections. Does it look bowed and rainbow colored? The red, green, and blue will be mis-aligned causing a shadow effect. If you can bump it then the ICs (chips) are still ok, it just needs resoldering.

LCD picture distortion.

This is caused by a failure of the main board. The failure causes the refresh rate of the unit to be off creating a trailing or ghost effect. This will require a technician to replace that board though. Hope this help.
