Xerox WorkCentre 24. Can we reset/clear the user accounts on a month to month basis for billing purposes? Can we retrieve the previous month's copy user accounts? We missed running the month of February.

    In reference to my questions, I was referring to color / black&white copies, not faxes.



    I need instructions on how to retrieve a previous month copy count and also how to clear the accounts on a month to month basis. Can you provide instructions for printing out?

Yes you can reset or clear them as oftem as you wish.

    since i am not farmilliar with the control panel buttons on that particular model, the only way i know to help you is either live chat or by phone, because i need to know what the buttons on the panel say to depress the correct keys. Solution : Modify the Printer's Administrator Password Using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) NOTE: This solution assumes the WorkCentre is configured and working properly on the network.
  1. From the computer, open an Internet browser window.
  2. Enter the IP address for the WorkCentre in theAddressfield, and then press [Enter] on the keyboard. The CentreWare Internet Services window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Properties] tab.

    NOTE:If the Login screen is displayed, enter the user name in theUser IDfield, and the password in thePasswordfield, and then click on the [Login] button.

    The default username is "admin" (case sensitive), and the default password is "1111". If it has been changed or forgotten, contact Support.
  4. Click on [Security] to expand the list of options.
  5. Select [Authentication Configuration].
  6. Click on the [Modify] button for Device System Administrator Password.

Solution : Modify the Default Admin (Tools Mode) Password on the WorkCentre NOTE:The Admin (Tools Mode) password allows access to configure network and machine settings on the printer.Xerox recommends only changing the default Admin (Tools Mode) password if absolutely necessary. If the password has been changed from the default password (1111) and has been forgotten, a service call is required to reset the password.
To change the default Admin (Tools Mode) password:
  1. Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. The Log In window will be displayed. See theRelated Itemsbelow for additional information regarding logging into the WorkCentre.
  2. Select [Security Settings] on the left side of the screen.
  3. Select [Authentication] from theGroupscolumn and then select [User / Administrator Accounts] from theFeaturescolumn. The User Administrator screen will be displayed.
  4. Select the [Account #] field, and then select account number 1 using the keypad on the Control Panel.
  5. Select the [Configure Account] button. The Configure User Accounts screen will be displayed.
  6. Press the [Clear C] button (several times, as required) on the Control Panel to clear the old password.
  7. Enter the new password using the keypad on the Control Panel.
  8. If necessary, place a check mark in the [System Administrator (Admin)] and [Account Administrator] check boxes, and then select [Save Account].

How do I empty the waste on a xerox 7120


Better off replacing it, if you google it , the price normally is $20 or less. But you can take it out and empty it into a garbage bag, but there is a clear plastic window that must be cleaned to allow it to reset. They are pretty cheap. Google The Parts Drop. Most likely they have them.

You have to have a fully configured laptop with several levels of Xerox software.
Once that is accessed though you can change those numbers to max them out for the life of the machine.
Where do you live? Maybe I can find someone to do it for you.

I have a Xerox XD125F Workcentre. The J2 toner


1. turn off XD125f
2. Turn on
3. within 4 seconds press, clear, auto, clear, auto. LED Should go blank,
if not try again
4. use copy quantity keys to enter 24, then push start
5. Again use copy quantity keys to enter 7, then push start
6. turn off
when you restart the cartridge count will be set to zero

I have done this twice and never replaced the drum cartridge.

Need to enter service mode on a Xerox 7435


The service tech should do this. The 7435 should be less than 3 months old, and Xerox should fix it. If you bought it from Global, or another company that does not actually employ Xerox technicians, try appealing to them, but I cannot tell you for sure what the outcome will be. Buying from an authorized agency ensures that you can use your "Total Satisfaction Guarantee".

Reset Job on Workcentre 24


You need to also clear it from the computer. Open the printer properties on the pc to see if the job is still present. If so, cancel it.

Reset WorkCentre 24, Xerox


In menus you browse to the service tab, then serivice diagnostics. Go to NVRAM reset and perform the NVM reset.
Before you do that, print out a configuration page if you want to rememebr the network settings. It will set the IP address back to default also.
