Hi,
Either there is a bad connection in the fan/light or the circuit braker tripped...there is no fuses or circuit breakers in the unit...
Pull the fan apart and check for power there and if there is non then check the circuit breaker..

I have just fitted a ceiling light, as instructed, but the light will not switch off by the light switch

Most ceiling fans are factory wired so that the light is independently controlled from the fan, therefore when you turn on/off the wall switch it has no control over turning the light on or off.

However, the light can be wired, inside the fan unit, so that it works in conjunction with the fan, so that when you turn the wall switch on or off, it will turn both the fan and light on or off together.

To do so would require the specific wiring diagram of how the fan unit is presently wired. It's a simple modification, but without knowing or seeing how it's wired (internally) it's impossible to tell you which wires need to be modified and reconnected.

I have a Harbor Breeze mod E-BE44. Fan works but lights stay on for 20 seconds and then go off. I hear a click inside when that happens.

is there a remote control unit with it that may be turning off the light waiting for the signal

The remote controls the fan speed but wont dim or control the light. the unit wont work if the light switch is off so I cant use the fan at all unless the light is turned on

mcdevito75 here, Generally the Ceiling fan motor is hooked up by-passing the wall switch but still to the hot laed going to the wall switch whlie the lights are hooked up to the hot lead after the wall switch, So without the remote, Manually operate your fan and lights. First with the wall switch off the fan should work and the lights no work. Now turn the fan off with the pull chain on the fan shroud close to the ceiling. Now turn wall switch on and lights should work with wall switch and the fan should also work. if so, re-program the remote or change the batteries or even re--place the remote.

Ceiling fan won't run but the light does work. Fan has worked in the past but now just the light works. Why would the fan not work? This is a Hampton Bay Northport III ceiling fan ( product of Home Depot)

mcdevito75 here, You say fan worked in the past, That tells me the fan has not run in over 1 month if so, try this. First, the fan motor is a sealed unit, without running the fan in over 1 month it may be a little stiuck, put the fan lights on, and pull the fan chain just once and turn the fan blades themselves just a little to get thm started. also verify fan switch itself is good, Chain switch should have the familiar click click to it. If not the fan swich could be bad.

Magic Chef 8 bottle wine cooler model MCWC8DSCT. When turned on light flashes and fan starts to move but doesn't. Sounds like a relay keeps switching off and on. Do you know what the problem is? And which...

I have the same problem as stated with the light flashing and fan tries to rotate. I found by disconnecting the power wires to the cooling unit, the fan rotates. light works and no clicking sound.
I suspect the cooling assembly is defective causing the unit to not work properly.
Does any one have a part number for this part and where I might purchase the cooling unit. RepairClinic.com does not have thhe cooling unit.

Hunter ceiling fan

Sounds like the remote receiver units (located where the mains connect to the fans) took a surge and have failed.
