Possibly I didn't store it right...? But I cannot believe that it won't turn on at all. How do I get it fixed?

I think I broke my venta after 2.5 years. I cleaned it today and may have gotten water inside the motor. :( I'm very sad and MUST get a new one ASAP!! I was thinking of letting it dry out for a couple of days to see if it will come back on. When I turn it on it flashes "on" for a second and then dies. :(

ok, 1st off I didn't realize that I was actaully talking about a different model than this one, Venta Sonic VS205 Cool and Warm Mist Ultrasonic Room Humidifier. But it's fine.

In any case, I thought an update was in order. I have good news....it's working again. I let it dry out over night by removing the tank. when I turned it on it blinked a few times and then went dead. I was disappointed at first, but then turned it upside down and let the remaining water leak out. I then let it sit there for about 5 minutes and then turned it back upside right and turned it on; HAPPINESS! it started blinking again. This was a good sign because i know that when the tank is engaged even when the tank is full, it sometimes needs a bit of tapping to get the flow engaged before the steam starts working.

So, I got the full tank and placed it on and tapped, tapped, tapped and my Venta Sonic VS205 Cool and Warm Mist Ultrasonic Room Humidifier started working again!

Caring For Your Venta-Sonic Humidifier
IMPORTANT!
Always unplug the unit before cleaning!
When to Clean Your Humidifier
Clean your humidifier weekly or more often during heavy use, depending on your
individual water quality. Clean your humidifier before storing and after long periods
of storage.
When cleaning the inside of your unit, keep water away from the air outlet. Exterior
may be wiped with a damp cloth when unit is off and unplugged.
Cleaning the Oscillator and Water Sensor
Turn off the unit and unplug power cord. Remove tank from base and empty
reservoir in base. Use cleaning brush provided in base to clean off mineral deposits
and sediment from oscillator and water sensor. Do not scrape or clean with tools
that have metal parts. Be careful to not damage the surface of the oscillator.
ATTENTION: Damage to the oscillator may cause the unit to not work properly.
The oscillator (ultrasonic transducer) is highly sensitive. Keep this important part
clean and treat gently. Do not touch the oscillator while the unit is operating.
Do not use soap, cleaning agents, detergents, or other chemicals for cleaning the
tank and humidifier.
After cleaning fill water tank (see instructions above) and return tank to base.
Storing the Venta-Sonic
Switch off and unplug power cord from A/C outlet. Empty remaining water from base
and tank. Clean tank and unit (see for instructions above). Make sure all parts are
thoroughly dry—allow at least 24 hours to dry. Leave the filling cap of the tank
loosened. This will keep the cap and gasket from sticking together. Pack Venta-Sonic
in original packaging and store in a cool and dry place.

Mold in the machine. how do I clean and disinfect it?

The best way to get rid of the mold is to use bleach water. You need to clean and scrub it out, making sure the bleach gets in every cranny. Lastly, really (and I mean really) rinse it out. I would suggest washing it out several times to be careful.

How do you fill the venta humidifier I don't have

http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/content/pdfs/123738.pdf

Fill Water Tank.

Turn off humidifier and unplug the power cord from A/C outlet. Remove tank from

base. Turn upside down and unscrew filling cap. Fill tank with clean, cool, distilled,

filtered, or tap water. Do not attempt to fill unit through Vapor Nozzle. Water temperature

should NEVER be too hot or too cold. Extreme temperatures can damage the

unit. Tighten filling cap firmly. Return tank to base and let it sit for a few minutes. For

first time use or when replacing the demineralization cartridge filter, please soak the

filter in warm water for several minutes.

Venta-sonic VS 207 humidifier. Turns on but the display just flashes lights. I had it stored all summer (followed the manual instructions) and it's the first time I'm turning it on.

I had the same problem. During the cleaning process, the white float was installed upside down and humidifier water level sensor was unable to read the float. I removed the phillips screw and inverted the float with the dark ring toward the bottm. Quick fix.

I have a Venta VS370 humidifier which works fine immediately after I change the filter but after a few days the vapour stream diminishes significantly and it ceases to be effective: is this a malfunction?

Filters need to be changed regularly depending on environment may have to change more often.

These systems can be very troublesome. It is possible that you are having mineral buildup in your system from the water supply. You can try adding 1/4 cup vinegar to your water to help clean away deposits. See if that helps .
