Question about Samsung RB2155 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
The only way I would buy it is if You can have him unplug it and leave the door open for at least 24 hours. Then plug it in. If it stays cold the first day or so it is a defrost problem and can be cheaply fixed. You could get lucky and have it be a start relay but I wouldn't take a chance. If the compressor is running and still not cooling I wouldn't take it if he gave it to me. Freon leaks and compressors usually are not worth fixing. You don't have the training, certification, or tools to work on the sealed system. The only other solution is if there is a tech school in your area. Sometimes they will fix things as a training exercise for only the cost of parts. You usually have to deliver and pick up the fridge.
