Question about Dryers
THE DRYER DRUM WON'T TURN
The belt may be broken or may have come off the idler. If not, it could be a bad motor.

Actually if nothing turns on than it is probably a bad thermostat. There are three. Two in the front and one deep in the back behind the drum. You can check a thermostat with an ohm meter. You should get continuity at room temperature. If you don't , than the thermo is bad and will not let the dryer turn on.. Two of the thermo's act as kill switches.

The newer dryers have an ignitor that lights the burner...
There is a cover on the bottom front and the igniotr is usually on the right hand front corner..it will be a flat black almost glassy like thing...
