How to install jar/ jad files samsung sgh e 250-

I have the .jad/.jar files stored on my memory card and need to install thegames on the phone. how do i go about.

I have the Samsung M520 and have been trying to install jad /jar files for 3 days. these files have to be in the internal phone not a subfolder. I can't get passed the file manager. and if I try to open there it says files not supported. They need to be in games or applications. Help!

I have the same problem, only I've only been trying for 3 hours, not 3 days. I can get the .jar and .jad files into the phone, but cannot get the game to install or run.

  • Lauren Serpa May 19, 2008

I wish I could use the sprint process, but this is not a game I am trying to install it is a 3rd party application that needs java to run it. Because it is a third party app. the phone seems to be programed to shut it down. That's why I think I need a code or something to get the phone to accept a program that was not one of theirs. Where would I go to find this code and directions on how to use it?

Sadly I think you need the usb cord for it and to type some code in(the phone) to activate java when it's plugged into your computer then send the files =( I've tried for a few days I don't know how long and have no idea what to do. Too bad all phone companies don't think to just use the smaller usb port thing for charging so i could just use my usb cord for my TI graphing calc or my mp3 player...oh well seems I'll have to keep searching.

you have the jar files so go to http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ it worked for me but u have to use the internet to acquire the games so if you don't mind that fee which you will only pay for a couple downloads or whatever sprint charges for. 1 file didn't work for me and a few were too large to fit the phone's screen but i got bejeweled to work and tetris deluxe to work. if you find a good game that fits like solitaire or texas hold'em pleas post it here...i hope it helps

This problem has already been solved by Gerard44, July 2007, at
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1206237
The solution posted there is for a Samsung SPH-m620, but it works also for a Samsing m520. Briefly, you download the demo version of CDMA workship to get the MSL code (also called the SPC code).
Then you download Qualcomm QPST to install your games or songs in the file
brew/shared/jas/temp/install. For songs, you need to create a gcd file, which you can do yourself or download from http://www.sprintusers.com/downloads/gcdcreator/
For games, you get the .jar and .jad files from
http://www.mobilerated.com/samsung-sph-m520-games.html
If you have no data plan, then you can't install games with adds because it tries to connect to the internet to install the adds.
One final note, when you use QPST to peruse your phones files, most files won't open because the're locked. If you want to see the locked files you'll need another program - P2k commander.

  • Anonymous Jul 31, 2008

To susobhan, you cannot install games by simply transferring them to your phones memory card. The phone is setup not to recognize java games that way. You have to install the games in the phone. The process is explained by Gerard44, July 2007, at
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.p...
You need to buy a USB cable, and you need to download QPST Qualcomm to your computer in order to access the file structure on your phone. Then you transfer the games from your computer to a special folder in your phone and the phone installs them for you.

Using the internet to download the games is the option that the service providers want you to use. It works, because the phone goes through an installation procedure to install the jar file.

However, I have downloaded the .jar and .jad files and placed them on my phone using a memory card. There are secret codes that can be entered to send the phone through the installation procedure. Others have done it on other Samsung model phones, so downloading from the internet is not a necessary step.

I do not know the codes or the method for making this work on the Samsung M520 phone. That is what we are looking for, is how to get the Samsung M520 phone to go through the installation proceedure for installing the games that are not loaded from the internet directly.

If someone specifically knows how to do this for the Samsung M520, please direct us to a web page, or give instructions. Thank you!

If you want to install games to your SAMSUNG phones you need ti download the wizard from.......Please click this site:
http://www.nokiagamez.com/jad.html
Download the mirror 1 then extract
they have the instruction to follow..
this instruction requires a jar file, you need to have the jad file by dragging the jar file to the wizard.exe icon.

Jad file represents the setup of your jar file or it is the installer of the game you download. this installation is for Samsung mobile users

I do copy java games computer and past the memory card samsung J600 mobile no install game on the mobile

Samsung J600 Only Supports JAR format Java files for Applications.
If u are installing the files from your PC to Phone.
Follow this :-

1] First you have to create a JAD File of specific game.
To create a JAD file you need to convert your JAR file using JAD MAKER .

2] You can Download it from following address

http://www.geocities.com/mangokun/jadmaker/jadmaker.htm

3] After Conversion Transfer Both JAR and JAD files to phone's OTHER FILES Folder .

4] Now Close all applications on phone.

5]Then Enter This code on your phone

#*9998*4678255#
6] This will Activate Your JAVA ENGINE.

7] Now go to your OTHER FILES folder.

8] Select the JAD file and Press the LEFT SOFT KEY [Menu Key].

9] Now a option of install will happen .

10] Then follow the procedure and it will install your application in MY GAMES Folder.

I HAVE SAMSUNG SGH J700 IT DOES NOT SHOE THE IMAGES IN MEMORY CARD FULL SCREEN ONLY THE PHONE MEMORY IMAGES ARE SHOEN IN FULL SCREEN AND THERE IS NO NEXT OPTION FOR THE SAME IMAGES , ANOTHER PROBLEM IS...

First of all don't use CAPS it's very rude, it's like shouting....
1. No there is no next image or video or music file when accesing it on memory card, j700 and phones like it **** that way... You have to access each one manually
2. images on the phone are zoomed to fullscreen with # - same goes for videos
3. As for Java files you need to download a JAD maker.
Google it, there are a lot of free versions available all around
Then when you have JAD and JAR file upload them to your phone and use JAD to install the app. Later on you can remove the JAD and JAR file....
Hope this helps
