Have power but compressor no work

Tried unplug, replug it back in half or an hour later. Most of the time the the compressor will reset and kick in than it work again. This is a temp solution only, because most of the compressors in frig have this intermittent problems will died again because of over heat the design 24/7 plugin doesn't help especially continue of power to it.Replaced the frig if it more than ten years or replaced the compressor if less.

It will not produce ice nor despence water

i cant remember when that both happen at the same time electronically. But it happeens often this way.
Check water (of course) to make sure that the water coming in is really coming in (cause the shut off can be plugged) I know you did that already (just asking).
Things you can do is replace the filter.
Unplug the frig for 2 days with the doors open. The water might have frozen in the doors (crazy but this is common) and the water will not come out. An easy way to check this huh? unplug. After the 2 days if water resumes let us know cause you have to get a special kit to prevent from happening again.
if you do all this, and you have water going to the frig then the last thing it could be is the water valve. thats the part that is connected to the main water supplying the frig. but to be positive (ask a friend or relative who is an electrician dont try this yourself) you need to manually put 120v to the valves to check them. thus the electricians. if still no water after 120v check then replace the water valve. but if water comes out let me know so i can trace the problem for you using the original wiring diagram ok thanks hope i was alittle helpful

My frig is running but not cooling - frig is 50 degrees, freezer 40 degrees, cleaned the coils, etc GE side by side coils in bottom if frig side feel cool, "box" between freezer and frig side is not blowing...

I can help you diagnose the problems with your GE. Several things can cause these symptoms. All you need is a voltage meter patience and a want to, to repair and do it better than a paid technician. In most cases with the PSS26MSRSS the defrost heater is the cause for this. Look into rear of your freezer and back wall. Is Ice or frost building on rear wall? If yes unplug and prepair to remove contents in freezer compartment. Remove rear panel in freezer and use hair dryer to defrost ice until the defrost heater is visible. BRB , Sea Breeze

the temp controller is bad in the fridge once it reaches cooling temp desired it cause the temp comtroller to go into a shut off mode due to being weak on the temp sensor tube

The Fridge of my Rangemaster SXS Fridge Freezer is freezing up

You probably have one of the following problems: A failed defrost system, meaning the defrost timer and/or element has gone out and your evaporator coil is frozen over; you are low on freon and this too will cause your evap coil to freeze over until the freon drops so low all cooling stops; . Unless you have gauges, a licence to buy freon and service valves (or a buddy with such) you are limited to what you can do. Here is my advice:1. unplug the frig and let it defrose over night, or unplug the frig and empty the freezer to remove the back cover to look for ice, a frozen fan and if so get your hair dryer out and melt the ice so you can test the fan and the defrost element (you will need a volt/ohm meter to do the element check. You can do it.

I have a JCD 2289 AE side by side. The freezer has water at the bottom rear that has frozen. How do I turn off the freezer and not the refigerator to defrost it and what could the cause be for the water

Just unplug the frig and open the freezer and let it defrost. Put the frozen items in the frig to keep them cold. Keep the frig closed if possible. You can assist the defrosting by blowing a window fan into the freezer. The room temp will defrost it quickly, or set a blow dryer on LOW and direct toward ice. Careful don't take the chance and turn that dryer on heat. And DO NOT CHIP ICE with a sharp object (patience is free). You may need to physically remove the water as the ice melts. - The source of the ice is probably condensation, or if it happens very quickly, there may be a ice maker leak. Once defrosted replace the frozen items and watch for cause of ice.

CAN I UNPLUG MY FRIG WHILE IM OUT OF TOWN FOR 6MO.

Yes, if nothing is in it, but let me caution you about leaving the door closed when your are gone. If you do, then you may have mold and mildew when you get back.
It is best to leave the door open.

Frig and feezer stopped working

It sounds like the overload and relay on the compressor. If the problem isn't that then you need a compressor.
