Please list the make and model of your computer.

Then explain what you are wanting to do, besides just reset. Reset to what? wipe drive? repair windows? What operating system are you using?

Remember we are lowly techs, not physic....

Need to reset acer aspire 1200 desktop

The Aspire One is a netbook produced by Acer; it does not come equipped with a CD ROM drive, so a traditional hard drive reformat and Windows reinstallation is not possible without a peripheral storage device. An external USB CD or flash drive will suffice, however.Difficulty:Moderate

Instructions

    • 1 Plug in the external CD drive, then turn on your netbook and let it boot to your operating system.
    • 2 Open your web browser and go to the BootDisk website (see link in Resources). Download the Windows XP Fresh Install Bootable CD, then burn these files to a blank CD via your external CD drive.
    • 3 Ensure the files have burned to your bootable CD, then restart the netbook with the CD still in the drive.
    • 4 The netbook should boot to the CD upon the restart. Follow the instructions prompted for installation. Upon completion you will have a clean installation of Windows XP on your Acer Aspire One.

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop, it says I need a BIOS password, I do not remember it, HELP

You can reset the BIOS password by simply resetting BIOS (removing power source and taking out the battery temporary). That will reset everything that is stored including boot sequences, time, and passwords. Since it is in a laptop, it is a little more complicated. You can google something like "How to reset BIOS on a Laptop" and you should get a lot of resources on how to reset BIOS.

Try resetting Internet Explorer.
For that, go to tools in the menubar.
Click on Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Reset Internet Explorer settings, click Reset. Then click Reset again.
When Internet Explorer finishes resetting the settings, click Close in the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box.

OK, here is my guide to Remove Acer Bios password computer via Software. This has been done on testing machine Laptop Acer Aspire 3620/ Travel Mate 2420. Anyway, I'm not sure it will work on every Acer PC/Laptop so just consider to do at your own risk, I’m not responsible for any damages caused by this guide.

As we know most of Acer computer (Laptop & Desktop) allow us to setup BIOS in Microsoft Windows (9x/XP/Vista) environment. Great, this is the powerful that help us to remove the BIOS password cuz all we know if we enter Setup Utility at the boot time we have only three times of filling the password and if all wrong then the system will halt.
The program helps us to enter Acer BIOS setup in Microsoft Windows is “Acer eSettings Management” which comes with the CD when we buy Acer PC/Laptop. If you lost the CD then just come to Acer website to download the program.

Remove the battery . Short the grounding strips made for this purpose on the mother board,or the battery terminals,if you can't find the strips.  Reinsert the battery and the pass word will be gone.
