The first thing i would say is did you go through your user manual which was given to you with the DVD/Vcr.If not then please refer the manual everything is explained step by step.

Red Yellow White Plugs into back of your dvd/vcr. Red Yellow and white plugs into back of TV.

    If
you have an older TV that has only coax cable outlet, go to Radio Shack
or Best Buy and get an RF Modulator. You may need to get another set of
Red Yellow White Plugs if you have a cable box.

    The front
connections are Video 2, if placed on the back they are Video 1. When
you first turn the DVD/VCR player on, be sure to select the appropriate
    setting.

    Goodluck..

Step by step instructions are here:

If your LG DVD/VCR has an RF OUT socket, then it will almost certainly
have a modulator built in. It will probably provide an output on the
    UHF band.

    1) Connect your TV Aerial to the DVD/VCR RF IN or AERIAL socket.

    2) Then connect the DVD/VCR RF OUT socket to the TV's AERIAL socket.

    3) Play a DVD or something else that you recognise the picture content of.

    4)
Go into the SETUP menu of your TV, or if it's so old that it doesn't
have one, open the flip-down door on the front and press the PRESET
    button or whatever it's called.

    5) Keep working through the
buttons or menus until you get to UHF and then the TV should scan
across the channels until it finds the signal from your DVD.

    6) Select the channel thus found to one of the channel buttons you can easily remember e.g. 5.

That's it! From now on, you can watch DVDs or Tapes whenever you press channel 5.

    P.S.
If per chance your DVD/VCR turns out not to have an RF Modulator, you
can very cheaply buy one at www.radioshack.com or somewhere like that. In
which case you would connect AV OUT from DVD/VCR to AV IN of modulator,
then RF OUT of modulator to AERIAL socket of TV set.

Use output of combo player to input of TV. Use what ever available input you have left on you TV. HDMI or Component input is best, but others will work.

Samsung 2333HD to dvd/vcr combo

Hi there,

On a DVD/VCR combo unit....the Component Output (RED, GREEN, BLUE) is exclusive to the DVD player section only (VCR can only output analogue source) and will only be able to view DVD.

To watch VCR, you will need to connect to your TV via Composite (YELLOW) cable, into the Yellow AV input on your TV. You can then tune the VCR section to match your TV's RF input (if you prefer this connection).

Good luck...

Hook up tv/dvd

All you need is A/V cable. These are yellow, white, and red. If you have an old model TV that doesn't have these, you can get an RF modulator from any electronics store, which will enable you to connect the DVD/VCR combo.

Cable/ant. hook-up

If you have a yellow/white jack on your DVD/VCR unit you can connect it to the TV using composite cables. If you only have the coax output on the DVD player you can buy an RF modulator that will convert the coax to composite also. But if you have two ports on thhe DVD player as most combos do the top is usually an input source such as cable and the bottom is the output that goes to the back of the tv. You could also buy a "splitter" and attach the cable and dvd coaxs to each of the out ports(they will be side by side) and on the opposite end, which is the in run a coax from that port to the tv coax port.
I hope this helps you out. If you need assistance you can visit me on the chat portion of this website.

Connecting VCR/DVD combo to TV

If that is the only input that the tv has it's still usable. Just plug the Cable TV or antenna cable into the DVD/VCR coaxial input labeled "in" (instead of the TV's) and hook one from the DVD/VCR's "out" to the "in" on the tv. Turn the TV to channel 3 or 4 (depends on DVD/VCR settings) and use the built in TV tuner on the DVD/VCR to change channels.

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV

Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
