Question about Sony Handycam CCD-TRV107E Camcorder

1 Answer

SONY 450X I have a SONY 450X that's malfunctioning. None of the buttons function properly. It's like the wires are crossed! Example: Pushing "STOP" actually makes the tape go "FAST FORWARD" instead. Pushing "PAUSE" makes the tape "REWIND" instead. Pressing "PLAY" has no effect at all. If I open and close the cover a few times, the connection temporarily adjusts itself, and I can get the buttons to function correctly for a short while... but then, it goes back to being crazy! PLUS: although the battery is fully charged, the camcorder won't turn on... but it will do so if the camera is plugged into electricity. HELP !!! I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow morning and I NEED my camcorder!

Neither the driver's side or pass. side windows will work. Rear windows work.

What kind of car?? But check wiring. Open drivers door and between the hinges you will see a black rubber housing. Inside that housing are all the wiring that go to that door. Peel it back and check for broken wires. Every time the door is opened and closed those wires are bent back and forth and over time they will break not all of them but usually the window wires will because they are the thickest. All your windows rely on the main switch in that door to function properly.

I have a Intermatic ST01C installed with a 3-way connection. The other day it started "clicking" on-off..on-off..on-off etc. and would not stop till I operated the non-timer switch leg in my...

Wiring could be suspect.
I have tested this timer.

ST01C works like this in 3-way circuit.
Timer program turns lights on-off.
When blue wire and red wire are connected together, then timer reverses on-off program.

So the only function of second 3-way switch is to connect and disconnect blue and red wires on the timer.
The second 3-way switch is wired differently than ordinary 3-way.
See illustration below.
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#3way

Either the switch or timer have malfunctioned.
My bet is the timer.

1) Replace 3-way switch and see if problem clears up

2) Manual says: reset timer when encountering problems.
Hold down on-off button and push-and-release reset button.
Keep holding on-off until INIT displays.

3) You have to completely reprogram timer after reset.
Link above has ez steps.

It keeps blinking "PROTECT" and we are getting no sound. Sony receiver

Make sure none of the speaker wires are crossed I have the same reciever and it did this to me once. I checked the back of it and the wires were touching its a feature to protect itself from shorting out. If there are no wires crossed id reccomend trying to reset the unit by holding down video and cd then pressing the power button. The screen should say FACTORY which means its been reset. Good luck and hope this helps.

Oven is beeping flashes f7. goes from push start for hi broil to low broil

HI, your key pad or touch pad is malfunctioning. most units will have a integrated touch pad. In this case, you will need to replace the entire control board, in order to restore normal functions. Now, if you units control and key pad are separate entity's, i recommend this test below to determine which is at fault.

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:

1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.

2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

1985.5 PORSCHE 944 digital clock (changing time)

There are three buttons, let's call them 1, 2, and 3, from left to right.

Clock
Time setting

A. 12 AM, PM or 24.00 h
With the clock in the time readout mode, keep
button (2) depressed for 4 seconds -12 AM, PM
or 24.00 flashing. After pushing button (1), either
a 12-hour (AM + PM) or a 24-hour setting
program can be selected. If you only want to
change the display mode, push button (3). The
clock then returns to its normal timekeeping
function.

B. Hours
Push button (2) a second time - hour display
flashes. Set hour by pushing button (1). After
pushing button (3)*, the clock returns to the time
readout mode with new hour setting.

C. Minutes
Push button (2) once more - minute display
flashes. Set minute by pushing button (1). Upon
pushing button (3)*, the clock is started -
accurate to within 1 second.

Stop watch function
The stop watch can only be set in motion if the
clock is in its normal timekeeping mode and not
during setting operations.
A. Push button (3) - 00:00 display appears;
B. Push button (1) - stop watch is on;
C. Push button (1) a second time - watch stops.
(Additional times can be added by pushing button
(1) again - stop watch keeps running. Push button
(1) once more to stop timing.)
D. Push button (2) - 00:00 display appears;
E. Push button (3) - normal timekeeping mode.

If button (3) is pushed during operation A and
