Question about PC Desktops

I cannot get my computer and Infocus LP10 to communicate. This is a new problem. In the past, I hooked everything up and when I powered up the camera and then powered up my laptop, all was well with my desktop being projected on screen. Today, I just have the camera projecting the Infocus "the Big Picture" screen and no info from my laptop or ppt show. Please help, I have a lecture waiting!

You are using vga output?
On the infocus you can select an input, most projectors automatically search inputs. Then on your laptop use Fn+F8 on most laptops. Don't know which laptop you have. Most time you have three settings.
- Output shown on laptop screen
- Ouput shown on projector
- Output shown on both

Using the keycombination you can switch between these options.

Hope this is in time,

Good luck

If you are trying to hook the laptop to the proyector, did you try right clicking on the desktop to view the properties of the screen?
you have to right click at the desktop, then go to properties, then go to the tab of configuration then click on the second screen that will apear, and when it greys out, you there is an option you have to click below that says "extend windows desktop to this monitor", of course, the proyector has to be already conected, when you already clicked that, touch the sync button of the proyuector and it should be working.. otherwise, at the windows of configuraton you have to click on advanced (wich is a button almost at the bottom of the window) and then a window will emerge and (on my version) there is a tab that its called like my video card of the laptop (in your laptop it should be called like your video card), and there must be an option (after you plugged the proyector) of sending the signal like something specific, like a signal for tv, or proyector,or monitor.. .i think it varies depending on the model of the video card.
well.. i think thats all about it.. wish you good luck in your lecture..
also.. check the cables!.. if they are old they could be broken at the begening of the conection... (did i explain that right?)

I cannot figure out how to hook up my Belkin Wireless Router. I've tried plugging different cords in different spots and all that jazz and I just can't get it. I got this router from a friend and do not...

First, power down your computer and disconect the power cable to the cable modem.

Install Ethernet cable from the WAN/Internet port to the Cable modem's WAN port.
then install an Ethernet cable from port 1 to your computer. you can use ports1,2,3,4 for different computers.

Then power up the cable modem, then your computer. You should be able to get on the net.

Dell inspiron 531 with vista home premium, sata DVD/hdd, wont boot past bios screen, blinking cursor in top left corner. with nothing hooked up, says no boot devices available. i have tried each one solo,...

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows or any other OS is missing . Since you are getting it without even an hdd connected it means that the southbridge is defective. Which means that the motherboard is dead, replace it.

Computer not talking with printer

First reboot the machine-- then if the red X is still there check for a paper jam-- and or empty ink cartridge(s)---

Then go into "Printers" and make sure YOUR printer has a CHECK mark next to it which means it is the default printer.

Brand new coolmax cug-950b power supply. everything appears to be hooked up correctly, but it wont power up the mother board

the best thing when you can't see power going through your computer is
1. check the obvious once again (the current setting in the back of the ps.. is it 115??
2. replace the powersupply for known good powersupply.. if it works, your powersupply is defective (likely) if it doesn't your motherboard (unlikely), your memory (likely) or your cpu (unlikely) maybe the one defective.

I have an Infocus LP10 that I use every day. I hook it up and have never had a problem until today. The camera is not showing my PPT presentation. I only get the Infocus "the Big Picture" ad...

First of all, make sure that the correct input is selected. Second, it is possible that the input card has a problem. Try reseating this board. If that fails, please update this and I'll try to provide other options.
