Dear Baskiasan,
it mean you have to tune up your TV's colour settings. There should be a couple manuals for your tv model listed here: http://www.usersmanualguide.com/samsung/tv__projection/hcn4226w

Ok. I looked into this a bit more. Based upon the initial description of the problem, it is best described as a convergence problem. This means that each of the 3 major colors is not aligned with the others. The end result is 3 individual pictures layered on each other. In the idela case, this results in a clear picture of various colors. In this case, the mis-alignment causes a 3-D look. With LCD projection sets, each color is controlled by a separate LCD plate. These plates are aligned to overlay each other on the screen. It sounds like this alignment is now off. There are both mechanical and electrical alignment adjustments available to provide proper convergence. The mechanical adjustments are not available to the servicer as this is done within the "light engine" part of the set. If the electrical adjustments do not resolve the problem, then the light engine must be replaced. In either case, this is not a repair that can be done without the service manual and some test equipment. If the reported set is not within the warranty period, an authorized Samsung service center should be contacted to provide the repair.

I only think its the color wheel on my samsung dlp hls4666W because different colors keep resonating and put out a glare or glow.

It is not the color wheel problem, it may cause by digital board. Once the color wheel has problem, TV will turn on/off 3 times and then shutdown. Hope it useful for you.

There are flickering, rainbow-like color bands running across the screen, especially in the component inputs, not so much using the HDMI input, but still there.

Hi,if your tv is and Lcd rear projection it will be the light engine that needs replacement.Because lcd technology uses 3 chips green, red and blue that create the image and colors. When they start to fail you will get what you are getting color discoloration and rainbows. If your tv is DLp it will be the dmd chips which basically its like the lcd chips but instead of 3 chips its only one that creates the image.Hope this works God bless you!

This is more for information question. Dose Mitsubishi have a DLP TV that dose not use a color wheel and lamp where you can get 3D?

Yes, Mitsubishi did make a DLP that did not use a color wheel, but I am not sure if they still make it. It would be in the Diamond series and it uses 3 image units. I believe this was a professional set and was very expensive. You may have to ask around at you local electronics store to see if Mits still make this set.

I hope that this helps.
