You may look to see if it is simply a matter of changing the printing from portrait or to landscape.

I want to change papar orientation from landscape to portrait. I changed it in paper tray but paper orientation in printing does not changed. plz guide.

Dude, changing paper orientation on paper tray is just one step, while you must change paper setting on printer driver too. In some machines, you should change paper switch position too :)

My document is in portrait. I've used this same file for over 15 months. Now it is printing in landscape. I am loading the paper the same way I always have.

In your print driver, (start menu, printers and faxes, right click on your printer, select printing prefrences, and select protrait.)

This will set you back to your original portrait print prefrence.

Zebra TLP 2844 printing landscape instead of portrait.

To change from "page mode" (protrait) to "line mode" (landscape) you need to complete the following steps.
1. turn the power off
2. hold the feed button down
3. turn power on, the feed button should blink, release the button.
4. when the feed button blinks green, press and hold until it turns red or amber. release the button.
5. turn the power off.
6. hold down the feed button and turn power on, the button should blink and release. it will now print a calibration page. 4 blanks followerd by 2 text pages, the last saying "Now in DUMP" press feed to exit. on the first print, the 4th line down will say either page mode or line mode.

Your lift motor, for second paper tray draw, or third draw, are you storing extra paper in the second or third draw, beside the paper properly placed in the draw. Is there paper behind the draw? Do not store extra paper in a paper draw. Just because the draw has space not setup for 11x17 paper and is being used for 81/2x11 dont store extra paper. If this is a large capacity tray for over 500 sheets paper can only be set up for 81/2x11 protrait not landscape.

Tally 6212 - Landscape Documents Printed Vertically

You do indeed have problem-- the printer is doing what you are telling it to do changing the print from Portrait to Landscape on a dot matrix printer has the same effect as that on a Laser printer, it rotates the print by 90 degrees.

The correct solution of to define a custom size of paper which is the same size as the paper you are printing on.
If you are using Windows 2000, XP, 2003 etc you can create a Custom Size paper in the following way;

  • Ensure you are logged in with administrtor rights
  • Open the Printers Folder
  • Go to the FILE DROP DOWN MENU
  • Select SERVER PROPERTIES
  • Ensure the FORMS tab is selected
  • Tick the CREATE FORM button
  • Enter a NAME for the form
  • Enter the dimensions (be careful of the units you are using --- best results use inches)
  • Do NOT set margins printable areas etc
  • Click on the SAVE button
One you have created the custom size form you should be able to select this by name in the printer driver properties and the software package you are using.

A blue line , 2mm, appearing at bottom of page.

Hi Info39684,
It sounds like your Cyan imaging unit has gone down.
Have you thought of changing the orientation of your paper from A4 protrait to A4 landscape. If the blue line is at the bottom, changing the orientation should hide the problem. It's not going to fix it, and if you use A3 then you will see the line again. It's just an idea and you could save yourself £250 on a new unit.
Regards
Taminol
