click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager any yellow? ! question marks or red x will tell you that you need to reinstall the driver/s for this device to do this right click on the ? x ! select reinstall driver the drivers might have been corrupted by something or you might have got a virus run your antivrus program as for the sound control panel sounds and audio,volume you can adjust the volume or advanced,speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the right speakers also control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to sound,video and game cotrollers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers hope this helps

After reinstalling/installing an Operating System you can lose the Audio Drivers or sometimes they just corrupt.. Try reinstalling the Audio Drivers from the disk provide with your P.C./Laptop. If you no longer have the disk just visit the website of the makers of your P.C./Laptop or Motherboard and download the Audio Drivers from there, after that install them.

Hello my friend try to reinstall your Compaq Audio Card Driver. The driver of your Audio is attach in your motherboard driver so kindly insert the Disk where your Audio Driver is store then insert it in your CD/DVD ROM then reinstall the audio driver then restat you Computer. Also check your volume control and also the compatibility of your Driver Software in your Operating system.
ur sound drivers are not installed.u have to again install the sound drivers..
for this insert the motherboard driver cd.
if it autoplays then install the driver by follwing instructions given
on the welcome screen of cd autoplay .
if cd is not autoplay then go to the my computer then right click on cd drive and explore now find out the folder named drivers then finding audio driver install it by this
Give some more details abt ur Laptop, like Brand Name and all the stuff, i thnk u need to install the sound card drievrs to ur Hard Ware, Go to Controll Pannel then Click of Sound and Audio Devices. If ur sound card drievrs are installed, u can chane the setting on the first tab and the third tab (Volume and Audio) ,,, Try it friend
