Generic problem for all Dishwashers

Noisy dishwasher

My Indesit IDL530 occasionally makes a loud, high pitch noise during the wash cycle. The noise will stop when gentle pressure is applied to the outside of the diswasher door around the area of the tablet dispenser. Any suggestions to the cause of the noise?

SOME DETERGENT DISPENSERS ARE ACTIVATED BY A SOLENOID THAT IS ELECTRICALLY CHARGED. IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE THAT IS WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM. IF YOU WANTED TO CHECK, REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL AND SEE IF THERE IS A ROUND ITEM AT THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY WITH TWO WIRES ATTACHED TO IT. PUT THE DISHWASHER INTO A CYCLE AND WHEN THE NOISE APPEARS, GENTLY PRESS ON THE SOLENOID TO SEE IF THAT IS WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM. REPLACE THE SOLENOID TO SOLVE THE ISSUE.

BE SURE ALL RETAINING SCREWS ARE TIGHT.
