How did you remove the transformer? I was having intermittent display. Then 3 sec power light blinking. Now dead. I replace both C664 capacitors, since one looked bulged and had a brown spot on top.
easy to remove and replace those without solder.
But the monitor is still dead.

By the way, C664 and the one beside it seems to be bulding out. You should replace that while your replacing the transformer. That might be the cause of the burnout.

I have a ViewSonic VX910 LCD monitor. I turn it on and it comes on for a second then goes black. I did replaced all five capacitors in the power supply board, but it didn't help, still the same problem....

AllI can think of is that a tripler or inverter could be breaking down, causing the unit to go into auto
shutdown mode. Some devise is breaking down, and causing the unit to shut down.
Not an easy problem to troubleshoot unless you've got a schematic and tech skills.
Hope this helps

I have 2 2006 VX910 LCD display monitors no display at all

Hello,

You have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitorswill blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of he monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix he problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping. I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

ViewSonic VX910 monitor has a power supply issue.

Your monitor have a bad condensator in the PSU.

The only thing to do is to replace the Power Supply Unit (very expensive, more than a new monitor) or if you have electronic tools, found and replace that condensator.(cheaper way...)

or

Have you connected your monitor with a new power cord ?

Best Regards!
