Washing machine will not work. I believe it is a door lock error. Although the door is closed, the temperature and 'options' lights are on when you go to start a cycle. You can also open the door once you select a wash program, even though it is normally locked.

Re: Washing Machine LG WD-8013F
It may be the lock but this model is known for board faults, take of the top panel and remove the control panel and see if the board is burnt.there was a recall on some of these machines a while ago in australia not sure where you live

de Door Error usually shows when the door lock either won't undo...OR The machine won't start after the door is closed.
Both these situations probably mean that the door 'Interlock' is faulty.
The interlock is the part of the door lock which prevents you from opening the door while the machine is working.
It's part of the electrical circuit and should only be serviced by a qualified technician.
DE error does mean the door latch, but there are three parts that could cause the error code.If you have changed the door lock already then the main p.c.b/computer board has failed and not registering the door lock but there is a 5-10% chance it's the wiring connecting the two parts together. So basically you need to change the main p.c.b & if that doesn't work it needs to be rewired.unless you know how to use a multi-meter then you could test the wiring for a definate answer.THANKS ECO KIZZA
it will definitely be the bearings and possibly the spider as well. the spider is attached to the bowl. the spider is made of aluminum and they corrode all the time. open the door to the machine and grab hold of the steel bowl, has it got movement on it. if it has then the spider and bearings are faulty, also the main shaft seal will need replacing.nearly every time i went to an LG 8013f that was noisy it was the bearings and or spider. hope this helps. please reply 4 more help. good luck.
It typically means that one of the water valves (that opens and closes to let the appropriate amount of water into the machine) is not functioning properly. It is frequently accompanied by a continuous flow of water into the machine (although with the drain pump also running you won't necessarily see any water building up inside the drum.) I believe the letters actually stand for "Fill Error."
