Unwanted copies of files

When I send some picture files or some PDF files to the trash bin, they seem to go to the trash bin AND are made into copies that clog my list of documents.

The "solution" I received was "Probably a virus." My virus software (McAfee) tells me that I have no virus. The problem remains.

My v5 571 runs extremely slow ;I won't start; still diagnosing your pc on screen for over one hour; have no idea what's going on.

It seems that your OS has registry problem, so I would suggest you to fix it properly with the help of these tips given below:-

- Find how to start PC in safe mode, normally Pressing F8 key when windows starts up.( Google it)
- In Safe Mode create a new user, with administrator privileges and protect it with password.
- Remove unwanted softwares & programs.
- Empty the Recycle Bin.
- Download reliable program Reginout(Google it) and scan OS registry errors and fix it.
- Restart your PC normally and log on to the new account created.

Stay Happy :-)

start your computer in safe mode ,run auto run manager (download it first from internet ) stop unwanted programs from list , then open task manager , open process list , delete unwanted user process , then open run, type regedit , click export in file option of regit window. Save it on desktop, shut down your computer , run on normally ,click on file that you save on desktop ,click merge to registry. Then it will be fine

Paint cannot save file windows 2000 proffessional

This fix should allow you to use MS Paint to Open and Save JPG files, and Open and Save GIF files. The quality of the saved GIF with MS Paint may be reduced because of the limited 256-color palette (See here for an explanation and workaround). A better alternative for opening and saving JPG and GIF files would be to download and install a great FREE image viewer called IrfanView (MS Paint is still better for individual pixel editing, so it's good to have both).
If you want to proceed with the MS Paint Fix, you should first do a search on your hard drive to see if you
have the jpegim32.flt and gifimp32.flt filters.
You can find those files here:
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Jpegim32.flt
http://www3.sympatico.ca/one.human/files/Gifimp32.flt
You need to make sure you have both filters in the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\grphflt
C:\Windows\MsApps\Grphflt
You may already have the JPEG Filter on your system, but only in one location. If that is the case, Copy and Paste it to the other location. Once you have the JPEG Filter in both locations, you may only need to do a simple Registry edit to be able to "Save As" a JPG.
If you already have the JPEG Graphics Filter on your system (and in both locations as stated above), but MS Paint still won't let you "Save As" JPG, you can manually edit the Registry to correct this. It's a simple fix. Go to Start, Run, type REGEDIT, and click OK. Go to this key by clicking the + signs beside the keys (folders):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Graphics Filters\Export\JPEG.
Click on the "JPEG" key (folder) in the left pane, and you'll see a String Value in the right pane with the name "Extensions". Make sure under the "Data" column it shows only "jpg". If it shows "jpg, jpeg", double-click on the "Extensions" string and from the "Value data" field remove "jpeg" so that it only reads "jpg" (without the quotes).
If it worked, this edit allows you to "Save As" JPG. If it didn't work, or if you want to be able to also open and save GIF files, read on.

Or use this reg file to export your files as jpeg

PDF file from email to folder

It depends on your specific email client. For example, in Outlook you would right-click the file and Save As... and browse to the folder where you would like to save it. It's different for some web email clients...if you could post specifics I could help you more in that area.

I don't believe we have the ability to upload files to the clients here, aside from small image files and youtube clips; however, is the pdf file available where the user could download it from the Internet? If so, you could post a link to the pdf file for them. I could assist you with that as well. Also, if it's fairly short, you could cite the source and copy the portion of text you need and paste it into the Solutions window (giving credit to the author of course).

How to delete large files from hard drive

Hi.
Just right click on the file in Windows explorer and click on DELETE in the emergent menu.
It might tell you file to large to send to the recycle bin, that means you wont be able to recover it if you proced to delete it, just click ok, and done.
If it is write protected( do not allow you to delete it), just right click again, click on propreties, uncheck de checkbox Read-only, click OK and try to delete it again.
Good luck.

Unwanted copies of files...

This is Windows way of protecting you from accidentally deleting files. When you delete files they are sent to the recycle bin but are not actually deleted until you empty the recycle bin. They are also stored as temporary files and do not get deleted until the computer is restarted. Windows also keeps track of all recently viewed files.
You can clear this list by right clicking on your task bar at the bottom of your screen and choosing "Properties", then the "Start Menu" tab, then "Customize", then "Advanced". Check "Clear List", click OK and Apply.
