Question about Dishwashers

1 Answer

Whenever I shut the pc down and reboot it (with huey running), the monitor display automatically reverts to its largest size, requiring that I go into "settings" to reduce the display to a useable 600-800...or smaller. Why does this happen and what can be done to correct it? Thanks Fedexlax@Yahoo.com

How do I turn off the locked drawer option?

If you've followed the instruction on page 9 of the User Manual and it still doesn't work, unplug the dishwasher for several moments and plug back in. This seems to revert all settings to default.

Try this diagnostic cycle operation to reset.

To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the
following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby(power on but unit off):
Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal
To Rapid advance one interval at a time, press the Start key, noting that
unlike Standard cycles, the Diagnostics Cycle automatically resumes
after door openings and does not require pressing Start to resume.

Once the diagnostic cycle has run and shut off, run a normal wash cycle, empty and with no detergent, to reset the control to factory "normal" operation. Make sure there's plenty of hot water.

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher and it is stuck in the clean mode the light continuous blinks

THat means that something is wrong with the water temp. It is either not hot enough when it fills or the heating element that increases the temp it bad. To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the

Stays on 2H when turning on

Hi welcome to Fixya. You're right what you're describing is not delay start, but rather a problem with one of the heating component's and most likely the heater relay on the electronic control. The wash cycle has exceeded two hours without a temperature increase of the water and therefore the control "thinks" something is wrong. Whether there is or isn't remains to be seen. Likely if you let the unit operate from that point of displaying "2H" it will run and run for several hours and not heat the water. You can confirm this by pulling out the control and visually inspecting the printed circuit side of the control. Look for a burnt solder on the opposite side of the largest relay ( black or orange retangular box ). That will confirm the heater relay is faulty and the control either needs to be replaced or repaired if you are capable of resoldering the board. Let me know what you find and I'll try and assist you further if you require any. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today and good luck moving forward. macmarkus :)

Half way throu my dishwashers cycle it fuses & turns everything in house off

this happens due to the high electric current requirement of the dishwasher and it is not receiving that required current so it try to start but due to lack of required power it shuts off the current in whole house.
get the electric curren line checked out in your house.

and to check the current in your dishwasher check out this instructions
You will most commonly measure two electrical parameters when you're troubleshooting your appliance: resistance (measured on units called "ohms") and voltage. Typically, both of these measurements are made on a single meter called a multi-meter, which you can set to measure either ohms or voltage.
This shows how to measure resistance. Resistance ( or continuity ) is measured in units called "ohms." You'll commonly want to know the resistance of things like bake elements and solenoid coils. For example, a good bake element typically has a resistance of about 30 ohms. If your oven's not baking and you measure the resistance of the bake element and the meter doesn't move, then you know you have a bad element. A simple ohm measurement can save a lot of money and a possible headache :)

Amp meter: Here's a clamp-on amp meter (or amp meter) being used to measure current flow through a wire. This is a common test for determining whether or not a gas oven igniter is good or bad--only way to really know is by measuring its current draw and comparing to rated draw. You'll also want to measure current/amp draw in cases where you have an electric motor that runs for a few minutes then shuts off on it's built in safety to see if the problem is with the motor drawing excessive current.
Volt meter: This picture shows how to measure voltage. A voltage measurement at the outlet should the first thing you do whenever you have an appliance that is completely inoperative...a simple power test is required if your electric dryer is running with no heat to make sure you have both powers at the dryer

thanks.

Lights on Panel says

Sorry it took so long to get back to you...I don't think your problem is assocaited with any electrical distribution problem. I believe the operator interface (operator console) has either got a stuck button, or the interface itself is defective. This does not require replacement of the entire front panel - only the circuit card BEHIND the front panel. I would pursue your warranty and have it honored. If it is still in warranty (as far as the electronics is concerned) then this repair should be covered.

Dishwasher short cycles and shots off

batty, you can put the dishwasher in a automatic test mode or manual test mode. For automatic press the heavy wash key 5 times followed by the start key. 88 should show in the display if you have the digital display. It's going to check the wash motor, fill valve, drain motor, soap dispenser, vent and heater automatically. If any of these systems fail, you will get a code. The test will finish by itself. You can get the information to test the touch panel by getting the tech sheet from behind the bottom toe panel. Catriver..post back.
